Our Verdict

This deal comes around numerous times throughout the year and is always popular, just remember the $15 cards have only a few-week window of use. The fact that you can buy third-party gift cards in-store at Best Buy with these promo cards makes it easier to use.

Last time around I learned that when doing this deal on Cashstar you can choose your denomination with this deal. For example, you can buy a single $450 Best Buy e-gift card and get three $15 promo cards (system shows it clearly at checkout).

There aren’t any portals for Cash. Use INK Preferred for 3x. Input your Best Buy Rewards number on Cashstar at checkout to get those rewards.

Hotels.com Deal

There’s also another deal on Cashstar to get a free $10 Hotels.com e-gift when you purchase a $50 Hotels.com e-gift. Limit 1.

Just got the $15 promo codes. Not valid for “prepaid open loop cards and some third party gift cards.” I’ve never seen open loop cards (e.g. Visa and MC) at any local Best Buy, but I’m sure hoping my favorite third party gift cards work.

Probably not because it’s Cashstar.

I still have the Amex offer for Bestbuy. I believe it will stack with this promotion?

Never mind. Amex offer details say “. Not valid for e-gift card purchases”

ignore my earlier comment. The purchase triggered a fraud alert in my CIP. Called and got it sorted.
