Our Verdict
I like the concept of these sample boxes but don’t think they really warrant purchasing unless you know you’ll be able to use the credit on something or you really want to try some of the products. Otherwise I feel you’ll end up buying the box with the intention of using the credit and then find nothing you like/it’s cheaper elsewhere and you’ve paid $15 for nothing. As always remember to save money on your Amazon purchases by following this guide. They also have individual samples you can try as well.
There’s also a K-cup sample box out. 13 cups for $8 and the usual credit.
I received a $5.00 Prime Day discount when I bought the household essentials so for about $10 will get a $14.99 credit.
What did the discount show as? Are you sure it wasn’t the $5 credit for buying the $25 GC?
you should probably also talk about the single samples too while youre at it. same thing.
Good point, adding that in now.
When checking out the “Luxury Men’s Grooming Box, 10 or more samples” I also got a $10 Alexa promo discount. I have 2 echos…
Sample boxes have been great and they allow to try some more expensive products for a lower entry cost.
B, Expiration date should’ve been sent via e-mail once you’ve received your credit. You can also do a search on Amazon for Amazon Prime Sample Box and it will show you what you’ve purchased and whether or not you’ve used your credit or not.
oops, grammar errors…sorry
Would this be a good way to basically piece meal minimum spend quicker? I have a $3K spend that is daunting because I have other minimum spends began but waiting on completion.
It seems like a good idea to spend on items that essentially returns the value to the spender and one might find something useful in the box.
I am not an Amazon shopper but my DS probably got pulled into Prime despite his limited budget.
No it isn’t a good idea because the credit is very limited.
if you ordered one of these before, any idea how to check the expiration date of your credit?
Checked terms and it says 3 months after your box ships. I ordered clif bars a couple days ago and New Year New You credit applied even though I ordered that sample in January. Maybe it used to be 6 months. You can check what credits you have and get to eligible items at amazon.com/sample-boxes
Different way to say buy one get one free.
Not really BOGO, the box is filled with samples and then you can use the credit to buy the full sized items.
