Our Verdict

Keep in mind that Topcashback also offers 2.5% cash back on Choice points purchases, that would bring down the price to a low of 0.751¢ per point. Best redemption of points seems to generally be in Scandinavia and Europe where the properties are a little nicer. Personally I don’t buy points/miles at all because the rewards I get from credit cards cover my travels (and I’m happy to pay cash for non chain hotels by using Hotels.com to get a big discount).

Also keep in mind the following:

Free nights start at 6,000 points per night and up to a maximum of 35,000 points per night (except in Australasia where it’s up to 75,000 points) and there isn’t any award chart (prices are flexible and somewhat tied to cash rate). Keep in mind their credit card also offers a 40,000 point bonus as well.
