- 2,500 miles for completing a free consultation with a specialist
- 12,500 miles if you install solar panels on your home
The Fine Print
- Offer only available only to Virgin America Elevate members in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York who are also first-time NRG Home Solar customers. Cannot be combined with any other offers
- To earn 2,500 points in your Elevate account, you must meet NRG Home Solar’s credit requirements, own a solar-feasible roof and complete an in-person consultation with an NRG Home Solar specialist. To earn 12,500 points in your Elevate account, you must have NRG Home Solar equipment successfully installed on your roof and agree to a solar power system lease. Please allow 4-6 weeks after completed qualifying activity for points to post to your Elevate account
Our Verdict
I think most people would prefer 5,000 American Airlines for the consultation and another 25,000 if you decide to install, but I know some of you go crazy for Virgin American miles. Personally I don’t think it’s worth the time involved for either offer, but I’d love to hear other people’s experiences in the comments below.
