Cardcash: 5% Discount on All Gift Card via the App [February Deal]

The Offer

  • Max credit amount is $100, for $2,000 in gift card purchases.

Screen Shot 2016-02-11 at 1.29.26 PM

This offer was sent out via email to Cardcash subscribers, and I confirmed with them on social media that it’s a public offer.

The Fine Print

  • Valid on all purchases made through the app during the month of February
  • Cashback will be issued in March as a CardCash website credit which you can apply towards future purchases
  • Offer cannot be combined with other offers or coupons

Our Verdict

Good deal, I hope to max out the full $2,000 in spend on gift cards I can use.

Remember, Cardcash purchases earn 5x points with the INK card, both when paying with Paypal and when paying direct. Stacked together, you can get quite a deal if you find a gift card at a good price. (From what I can tell, there is no Paypal option in the app.)

Tip of the hat to orensmoneysaver for posting about this and for the picture as well

Chuck,

Chase Ink Plus stopped awarding 5X points for cardcash.com purchases starting 06/17/16. My purchase on 06/15 earned 5X but my purchase on 06/17 DID NOT. Do you know anything about it?

Same here, I got my 5% credit. It’s a coupon code.

I have some good news. I got the email from cardcash with my 5% credit. So, I got my credit today. Hopefully others will get as well. I purchased about $1,966 worth of GCs and I got the 5% credit = $98. They email provided with a code to be used on the checkout and here’s what it says.

“Please note: Coupon Codes are not available for use on the CardCash App. Coupons may only be used online at CardCash.com. Coupon Codes can not be combined, only one code may be used per order.”

Good luck!

Chuck. Can you please reach out to CardCash and find out when we should be expecting the credit. I bought $1,900 worth of GCs in Feb.

Are they purposely removing cards from app to avoid giving the extra 5%? One example.I was looking for, Lowe’s, had tons online but zero on the app.

Can’t buy anything with Ink on the app. Every order no matter how big or small is cancelled. Neither can my wife. I tried buying on the website and it works fine.

actually I take that back. Ink order via website doesn’t work either. Seems like I can only do it by paypal, which has been my traditional method.

I seem to be perma-blocked. I wrote them and got the usual ‘we have very sensitive systems we can not override’ form letter back.

I tried ink, my wife’s ink AU, and an amex SPG – all instantly canceled on the site and on the phone app.

My wife opened a new account and tried Ink with our home address and Arrival + with her other address to see if we were address banned. We have different last names.

Everything has been insta-cancelled.

At least I still have paypal to use. (And I’m a registered bulk seller with cardcash, and they can’t help me from that side either.)

It’s completely ridiculous how they run that company.

I can still use paypal as far as I know.

Nope! Paypal doesn’t work either. I’m banned or something. I was doing thousands per month successfully till I tried the app.

Is anyone even able to get a fucking transaction through using their INK? I have had every single transaction get cancelled when using my INK and they say “use another payment method” and will not elaborate. wtf?

Well, I just tried it with ink cash for the heck of it. It works fine, and got my e-gc. But their app is very buggy. I add new card and press “complete order” and it goes back to the cart. Sometimes it crashes. I had to fiddle around and it finally worked but I don’t know what I did to make it work…

Like Daniel I just bought a gc from their app with an Ink Cash, and it went through fine.

Last month, I bought 8 x $50 Michael’s gift cards from Cardcash. 5 of them had $0 balance. I didn’t check the balance when I first received the card but three weeks later I did and saw they were drained. Fortunately it was still under the guarantee time frame so I got a refund. Still disappointed that Cardcash would have such a high fraud rate. I suspect the bad cards were from the same seller, which is even more disappointing the Cardcash would have sellers like this.
