Capital One has sent out an e-mail to Discover it Student cardholders informing them that they will be migrated to the Capital One website/app on 10/19/26. Full e-mail as follows:
[Name], starting October 19, 2026, you’ll use the Capital One website and app1 to manage your Discover it Cash Back account ending in XXXX.
Here’s what you can count on staying the same for your Discover card with Capital One.
The Discover brand isn’t going away, and your card will stay on the Discover Network.
You’ll continue earning the same 5% cash back at rotating categories each quarter, on up to $1,500 in purchases, when you activate—and keep your rewards balance.
Your card, card number and APRs remain the same, with no annual fee.
Customer service available anytime, day or night.
Unfortunately this is after the Paze promotion ends so can’t get $100 from there like other Discover cards. A lot of other Discover cards made the transition on 7/27/26. It’s unclear if this will be all Discover it Student cardholders or only some, I believe some people got the same message for cards other than the Discover it Student as well.
