Chase quietly gave surprise credit limit increases to many people on their Chase Amazon credit cards. Some cardholders are seeing their credit lines having been automatically increased by double the initial limit or even triple, quadruple, or more.
There’s some speculation that this is related to the fact that Chase is courting Amazon to keep them as their card issuer, as Amazon has been considering a break-up.

I was very surprised, I’ve had this card forever… and only a limit of $800… well it jumped to $10900. I thought it was a mistake! Now I’ll add it to my regular rotation for restaurants and groceries! I hope y’all don’t go crazy with some of the limits I’m reading! Wow!!!
I don’t know when it happened but somehow they upped my Amazon Prime Chase card to a $40K credit limit… It’s kind of bananas.
Got approved for the card 6 days ago with a $5,000 limit. Still waiting for it to arrive in the mail and my credit limit was doubled to 10K without any notification and before I spent any money. I’ll take it!
This card has a permanent 0% pay over time option for Amazon purchases if you forego the 5% cash back at checkout and choose to finance instead. I imagine Amazon wants to encourage customer spending and financing large purchases using this card and was not happy with the credit limits that Chase was giving which they probably thought was hurting sales.
2k (which is my original credit line that has NEVER been increased) to 20,800.. Lol So random but hey … I’ll take it
12k to 27k just today. I use the card frequently for most Amazon purchases but never keep a balance. I’ll take it 🤷♂️
It looks like another round might be happening, I just got $20K added to my existing Chase Amazon Prime card limit without any notification. I’ve barely been spending on this card in recent months, and had a $0 balance at the time of increase.
Any DPs as to whether or not this is still subject to 5/24? I would think that Amazon would not want it to be.
