Our Verdict

Not as good as the 5 free night deal. Not sure we will see that one again anytime soon, but this isn’t good enough that it should tempt people and because of that it won’t be added to the best credit card bonus page.

Applied on 01/12 and got the two weeks message. Got a “Paperless enrollment confirmation” email today and when I logged into Chase I saw the new card! Weird because I didn’t get an email that I have been approved. However, when I call the application status line, I hear that I’ve been approved.

Anyone tried using a referral link then going thru Chase SM to see if they would match the 50k per night

If you go thru referral links you only need to spend $1,000 for 3 free nights

I noticed that my referral link gives $1000 in spend, but the nights say they are 35K each, not 50K.

Just FYI, based on my past experience (got this card with 5 certs offer back in October 2020):

The certs post almost immediately after the spend is completed, not at the end of the billing cycle as usually with Chase in case of the points bonus.

Quick question – Marriott has book four nights using points, get a fifth night free. Does this work using 4 certs? I have a 50K cert from my Amex card, could theoretically add three more 50K certs with this offer.

Correct. Within 1 year of issuance. And that is why it is not as good as 100K points offer in my opinion, although technically you can get up to 150K points value out of it.

I just booked a Marriott room on their app and was offered a $250 statement credit + 3 free nights for this Boundless card.

If I was under 5/24, I would have took it.

Is that 3 night 50k?

Edit to my original post because I gave incorrect data point:

$250 statement credit + 1 free night

I just created a faux booking and that is what I was offered.

If it was 150k points instead I would jump on it. I find the certificates mostly useless anywhere I want to go.

I signed up for the 100k last week, not sure which one’s better for me. I was planning on transferring the points to other airlines mileage program, but this one worth more points.. hmmmm

But rememeber these are free night certs, not points. You can’t transfer to an airline program.

@mary w
SpicyPadThai knows that…referring to the 3 night certificates that are worth up to 150K.

The main problem they also expire in 1 year after they are issued. So, unless you have a specific stay in mind in 12 months after you complete the spend… it is not as good.
