  • Payment must be completed stay must be made by 2/23/19
  • Offer valid one time only

Our Verdict

Nice discount, probably makes sense to wait until one of the portals is also offering 10%+ back as well. If your stay is after 2/23/19 then you can usually call up in advance and pay over the phone and it will trigger the 15% back. Neither Chuck or I had this deal, so I suspect it’s highly targeted. Do we know if this offer would work for gift cards?

Got a $400 gift card at a local Marriott Courtyard on CSR and it triggered my $300 annual credit and a $60 chase cash back and hopefully get my 3X points on travel category. My anniversary is coming up next month so I haven’t been billed the $450 AF yet.

Well I didn’t get the 1200 but only 300 in points due to the $300 travel credit. My purchase on 1/29 did get posted and got an email from chase saying I successfully redeemed an offer with a $60 earned.
So for a data point, it does work gift card purchases at the participating hotels.

Thanks for the DP – I have an actual stay booked for next week – But I think I may – do the same thing and go buy the GC then pay for my stay next – with GC and and keep the GC and then just pay for food/drink during my stay with it.

This is cool because actual have decent bit of Marriott stays in the near future.

The 15% CB plus 3X UR pts beats the 6X of the SPG biz card hands down. (Already used travel credit last year thankfully).

Any way to get these offers to appear? Chase is like BofA for me now, just a few of the same tired old offers, nothing like hotels.

Got a wedding coming up in June that I already booked. Booked it during the eBates 10% promotion, but I’d cancel and rebook if those sites ever had another promo before 2/23 as I have the offer on my CSR. Any way to get notifications when those sites change their CB?

You dont have to make a new reservation to trigger the Chase Offer, you just need to pay for your stay. So if you already made a booking with 10% back at ebates, you just need to add your offer and call the hotel to see if you can prepay for your stay.

Oh nice, I hadn’t thought of that. Think that’ll have any effect on my ability to cancel if something happens?

Had a Chase offer for the W, but its expiration date was only 10-12 days.
