[Expired] Chase Offers: 15% off United Airlines, up to $50 Discount

Deal has expired, view more Chase offers by clicking here.

The Offer

Check your Chase Offers for the following deal:

  • Get 15% back on United Airlines ticket purchases of $100 and higher. Maximum discount is $50.

The Fine Print

  • Offer expires 3/19/19
  • Offer valid one time only
  • Payment must be made on or before offer expiration date (you can book travel for a later date, provided the charge happens by the expiration date)

Our Verdict

Excellent offer, ticket purchases between $100 and $333 will get 15% back. It’s one-time use, so save it for a $333+ purchase if you can. Let us know if you see this offer on Bank Amerideals and the others, though I think the travel offers are usually specific to Chase Offers.

Thanks to reader David for sending this one in.

I still cannot for the life of me get Chase Offers to show for any cards, in either Chase Bank or Chase Pay app, or online. What am I doing wrong?

They are so random

Oliver None show up at all when you scroll all the way down in the Chase mobile app? Have you updated the Chase app? My default was my debit card, which had no offers. I found them by going to the credit card in the app and scrolling down past the recent transactions.

Oliver

Yes, that is correct. When I scroll to the bottom of my Chase app (past my cards), all that shows are: Autosave, UR, Credit score, and Open an account (then Disclosures and Legal Info). I uninstalled and reinstalled both Chase app and Chase Pay app.

In Chase Pay app, when I click “Available offers” (under “Shortcuts”), it consistently has been saying “It’s not you, it’s us. We’re having some trouble. Please try again later.” But I’ve been getting this same message since I started checking for Chase Offers in Nov. 🙁

That’s so weird. You describe every thing on the app except for the offers between open and account and the legal stuff. The only other thing I can think of is your phone. Is it an older ios? I have an outdated Chase app (though it says it’s updated) on my old 5s with ios 11. That one doesn’t have Chase offers.

Edit: just saw your other post about the type of phone. Don’t know Android but same question about most recent operating system.

Thanks. It is weird. I’m on the latest Android OS (9.0 Pie) and fairly up to date. Can anyone on Android confirm they get Chase Offers?

I couldnt find the offers on the website version but have you tried on the regular chase app? Click on any of your credit cards from the home page->then scroll all the way to the bottom and you should see the “Chase Offers”. Hope this helps.

Yes, I’ve been looking in my regular Chase banking app. I’ve been looking on the first main page (at bottom), as well as bottom of each card’s page (CSR, Amazon, SW Premier Personal). When I click on a card and scroll to bottom, I only see: Account services, UR/Amazon Rewards/SW RR, Credit score, and Google Pay (then Legal Info).

Chase seems to have me on a “Do-Not-Offer” list or something lol.

BTW, I’m on Android (Pixel 3 phone).

Do you have business cards linked to that login?

Oliver
Oliver

Yeah, to one login I do. But I have another login for Personal only (no business cards show up), and even in that login Chase Offers aren’t showing up.

Hey so that used to happen to me. I would get nothing at all. So I logged in my chase account online on my PC (dunno if that matters) and under settings I saw that a long time ago I had checked off the box that said do not notify me of deals promotions etc. I basically had opted out of all the marketing stuff. Anyway I fixed that setting and then I started getting emails of the promos. Hope this is the case with you and this helps!

Oliver

Hi thanks for that. Yeah checked that too! On web > Profile & Settings > Marketing Preferences, I have everything opted in (“Yes” radio button selected for all). Since I have nothing to lose, just now I went ahead and opted out of everything, and opted back in (says it takes up to 10 biz days). Let’s see if that works…

FYI, long time ago I opted out of the national registry for prescreened offers, and opted back in a couple years ago or so. No idea if that has anything to do with it, but I do get Amex Offers on all my cards, as well as occasional mailings.

None of my 8 Chase cards has it

Couldn’t tell you how bad I need this right now! Flying from JFK/EWR-RSW is expensive. And I would have gained 4900 miles from the MilesPlay Promo.

None of my Chase cards have it… 0/7… would be pretty insane if someone had it on their Ritz card though and was able to stack it with the $100 discount, don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t stack.

Still haven’t used that benefits thanks to getting 3 Alaska cards last year. Is the charge through the airline of choice or visa? Wondering if it codes correctly.

I don’t think it would stack. I have the $100 discount on the CNB crystal card and it codes like it is through an OTA.

I just checked, and it isn’t on my CSR or my Explorer.

Do we have any info on how they target for these different ones? Seems like an awesome promo. I already buy all my United tickets (travel frequently) on my CSR – do you?

Odds it’ll stay posted if I buy a refundable fare for December, then cancel?

I recently participated in a chase offer for 15% back on Marriott Hotel purchases of $100 to $400, up to $60 max. I had a couple stays during that period which exceeded $400. When I noticed I hadn’t received credit for the offer, I called in and asked about it. The issue got escalated and 3 weeks later I received paper mail saying they looked into it and determined I was not eligible for the offer because the terms clearly state stays between $100-$400. Since all my stays exceeded the maximum value of the range, they weren’t eligible.

Looks like the United offer has similar wording, so I wouldn’t count on getting any money back on $333+ purchases. Make sure it’s between that range.

Interesting – will report back. I maxed out the Hilton offer with a very expensive stay which I got the credit up to the max for, maybe it was because the Marriott specified the $100-$400 range.

The United offer states over $100. The “range” that’s mentioned, $333, is the sweet spot to maximize the $50 back. The Chase offers are one time uses so only one charge can qualify even if you make several of them.

Good to mention the DP though. It’s always smart to know to look at the terms closely.

Those are the most ridiculous terms ever. It’s like you’re spinning for the showcase on Price is Right.
