[YMMV] Chase Offers/BofA: 10% Back at Rite Aid, Max $4

[Update 7/18/19: Offer is showing again for some. Expires 8/31/19.]

[Update 6/8/19: Offer is showing again for some. Expiration this time is July 16th.]

The Offer

Check your Chase Offer or Bank Amerideals for the following offer:

  • Get 10% back at Rite Aid, max $4.
  • Others might see: get 5% back at Rite Aid, max $2.

A number of banks use the same back end for these offers. This includes: Chase, Bank of America, Regions Bank, Suntrust Bank, BBVA, BB&T, PNC, Columbia Bank, Beneficial Bank, and Christian Community CU. You can read this post for more information.

The Fine Print

  • Offer expires 5/31/19.
  • Offer not valid on prescription purchases, tobacco, alcohol, lottery, gift cards, cigarettes, licenses, money orders, money transfers, prepaid cards, stamps, or other mail services.
  • Offer valid one time only.

Our Verdict

Reader KurtBiz sent in the 10%/$4 deal on Chase Offers, and I see the 5%/$2 deal in my Bank Amerideals. Small little savings if you use Rite Aid. They sell many gift cards as well for places like Amazon and Target; the fine print excludes those, but it’s likely to work anyway.

Rite aid near me doesn’t accept credit cards for gift card purchases

They do for 3rd party just not VGC IME

I can confirm that this works on gift cards despite the exclusion. Bought a $50 Arco gift card and that triggered the offer.

If you were thinking about getting that aspirin but couldn’t afford it – now its the time

The Rite Aid closest to me closed. And the next closest already became a Walgreens. Got the offer, but can’t use it.

You can use it online. Worked when I did this.

Does it really work on buying VGC? I already blew the offer on $0.50 of chocolate, the cheapest item I could find in-store just to redeem the offer and get the fourth bonus coin for $5…

I think I read in a previous thread that coins require a minimum purchase of $3?

A new round went out, expiring 7/16. I got the 10% on 3/4, wife got 5% on 1/3.

Got this 10% RiteAid offer on two Chase Freedom cards. Also got a 5% RiteAid offer on BankofAmerideals, max of $2, after using the previous 10% offer there. So the 5% offer might show up on the Chase side later.

Mine is 5% max $2. Not worth it for me. I did redeem the 10%/$4 a couple months ago.

mine got a credit up to $3 @ randall’s; good timing for an addl 5% cb for groceries

I only do it for Coins deals because it’s so small, but Rite Aid sells Shell which is useful for combining with the T Mobile Tuesday deal.

Does buying a bp giftcard or homedepot gift card qualify?

I don’t see why not. I bought Target and Netflix gift cards and got 10%.

Kay Buying a gift card triggered the offer for me last time.

Appreciate the reply! 🙂

Also got 5%. Not worth it for Rite Aid but there’s other new offers like Total Wine that could be useful.

How long does it usually take to trigger on Chase? Mines are 5 days already

Geng Typically takes two weeks for me.

They used to take 2 weeks for me, but now seem to go through in a few days.

Does anyone know if using a “one-time” deal (like this Rite-Aid one) that came around again will trigger another coin on BoA?

Also, anyone know if 2 transactions in a row will trigger a 2-transaction deal (like the AT&T one), or if you have to wait one or more days between them?

atexit

For me, the 2 transactions at AT&T got me 2 coins.
I didn’t expect it.

I don’t understand the whole $2 incentive thing, is that really supposed to get us motivated?

Most of my chase offers are so incredibly wimpy on the CF
