Update 7/21/22: Deal is back, some portals exclude verizon prepaids. Hat tip to FM
Update 1/7/22: Deal is back, this time $30 back when you spend $40+. Best portals are $30 on Topcashback or 3,700 AA miles. Hat tip to FM
Update 4/17/21: Deal is back and the $35 from Chase has posted for people that did the deal last time. It’s only $19.50 on Rakuten, so might make sense to wait for it to return to $75.
Update 3/14/21: Rakuten/Ebates is back at 7,500/$75 for new prepaid plans, and it’s indeed posting properly for those doing it. (They were $75, then lowered it for prepaid to $19.50, now put it back at $75.) Hat tip to reader Jay
The Offer
Check your Chase Offers for the following deal:
- Spend $35 on Verizon Prepaid service on an eligible Chase card and get a $35 statement credit.
This offer is showing on Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and other banks that use the same back-end as well.
The Fine Print
- Offer expires 3/25/21
Our Verdict
Free $35 for Verizon prepaid customers. Not sure if there’s any way to use it for those who don’t have Verizon prepaid, but it’s easy to load a friend’s account simply by knowing their phone number – no need to give out your credit card number. Some are thinking of trying out Verizon prepaid for a month and stacking with the Rakuten 7,500/$75 offer on new prepaid accounts.

I was targeted for a new round as well. Has anyone tried this by advance-paying Verizon postpaid account?
Try it and let us know if it works
My current balance on Verizon account is -$467.xx at this moment, and this offer expires before the next payment date. So I won’t be able to spend $40+ this time as the maximum limit is -$500 for Verizon postpay account.
If I get this offer next time again, I will try and let you know. Stay tuned if you also want to find out.
I see this deal in my Chase offers. Expires 8/15
Has anyone used rebatesme for this offer? It’s also $30cb, but t&c says “you should keep the service activation, the merchant will check your orders after 60 days”..hard to know if it’s for only postpaid cb or any service cb.
I never contacted Chase about this offer, but the statement credit miraculously appeared about four weeks after I made the purchase.
Redeemed the offer in mid-March for new prepaid service and just got an email from Chase that $35 offer was redeemed — looks like they’re slowing working on it (never contacted them)
A month after doing this deal I finally received an email this morning from Chase saying the offer was successfully redeemed, lol?
Discloser: This is not a question about this particular reward, but rather about verizon prepaid.
With this service, can I get a verizon sim, use it for a month (prepaid), then not use if for a few months ($0), then prepay for another month at some point in the future when I need verizon service? I travel a lot, and regularly use a different carrier, but occasionally I am in a verizon only area.
Leave auto pay off — I think they give you 60 days for non-payment before you lose the number and they close the account.

Reloads seem to work ok. New service did not. Not worth the hassle for the rakuten point, will just gift it to a friend. If you have wireless taxes, those get included with the reload in a single charge.
Update: On the new service (mar 17) credited automatically today (apr 26).
Update: Like everyone else here, I was obviously not credited by Chase for the $35. So I sent a secure message to enquire and I included a picture of the prepaid sim card and invoice. I was yesterday credited the $35! So looks like you need to contact Chase for the credit otherwise the offer will not apply.
Chase is classy. HaHa!
I had this offer on chase and BBVA. Did not track on either of them. After messaging chase, they credited my account. No success with BBVA in getting someone who understands my problem.
