[Expired] Chase Pay: $5 off your Meal on Valentine’s Day, All Day on February 14th

Deal has expired, view more Chase Pay deals by clicking here.

The Offer

Check your Chase Pay app for the following offer:

  • Chase Pay V-Day Treat: Feel the love. Get $5 off on Valentine’s Day, 2/14, when you order ahead or use a QR code to check out at select restaurants. (Restaurants that accept QR codes are shown on the Nearby tab of the app.)

The Fine Print

  • One per customer
  • Valid February 14th only

Our Verdict

The recent Chase Pay restaurant deals were for 5-6pm only, but this one is valid the entire day. Should also be able to stack it with this deal, use Chase Pay for restaurants three times and get a $10 credit. We’ll repost on the 14th when it’s live.

Just noticed this in the app. Maybe I’ll try the local Italian place that is listed and see if they can get the QR reader to work for a couple of slices of free pizza. Not worth going out when they have the 5-6pm special but I can drive past around lunchtime.

May use if other than five guys is listed

My main issiue as well. The discount brings Five Guys closer to In-N-Out price wise but at a similar price I’m gonna get In-N-Out! …You know Chase Pay has led to me to In-N-Out for lunch on multiple occasions over the last few months as I consider & discard Five Guys but once I picture a Double Double my fate is sealed…

Same, one of my work locations has a five guys around the corner but it is the only one in my large city that is NOT on the app. Frustrating!

Similar experience, the closest five guys to my home is not in the app.

I wish they would make these systems easier. It’s annoying enough to need another app to pay but then convincing the restaurant to try their QR reader and jump through hoops when it doesn’t work smoothly is so annoying. They need to learn from the tech model and give restaurants perks to adopt the tech and then focus on profit once they have adoption. Right now it’s just a mess of low usage and questionable profitability.

I’ve used Chase Pay for these deals at Fazoli’s and a smoothie place. Both simply handed me my order when I arrived. They did not need my phone what-so-ever.

I believe you’re confusing the “Pay ahead” option that these deals always use, with using Chase pay to pay at checkout. – I’ve only used the order ahead, since that’s what has had the deals recently.

The only places in my area that participate in this have a $10 minimum for online orders. So basically I need to use the QR code at the restaurant if I want to get something close to $5.

Does anyone know if one per customer means one per Chase account/login, or one per card? My spouse and I have all our cards under the same login.

Krista B
Krista B

I believe it is per login. I assume you are referring to the same cards as authorized users. I’m pretty sure that you can’t have cards issued to different people under the same login.

Thanks! Yeah, I guess they are all me as the primary, and our business cards.

There’s a liquor store that shows this offer and the 3x per month offer. Does anyone know if this will work there?

If it’s listed with the offer, it should work, no?

For the $5 promotion last week, it wanted to use my $10 off meal first. So I’m guessing that will stay true for this, just an FYI.

Does it stack if you spend over $15?

Nate

It did for me the last time the promo ran. ($5 happy hour + $10 3x promo)

Lots of go-to places have disappeared for this offer…

Yeah. Was looking forward to some free soup from potbelly, but they have disappeared from Chase pay

Same here

Same here.

My local potbelly (walkable) is now gone. (it was there a few days ago) Closest place that takes Chase Pay order ahead is now over a mile away. And I work in the middle of a downtown city. Bunch of BS.

I’ve always used this at Potbelly but they aren’t on here today. Five Guys worked like a charm though.

same. Used to have free coffee

You mean unlimited $5 off all day today or just once ?

Will this work at Starbucks?

Leapfrogger

The rep told me no Starbucks. The app from Chase is a total disaster for me. It won’t load any offers and the representative told me to just go to chase.com to view my offers. I see them there, but I have no way of knowing if they are for me or just a generic ad that will become “not available” once I submitted my online order. Chase should learn from others how to run an online promotion.

Is potbelly still on chase pay? I dont see it on my app anymore.

Noticed they took away Tropical Smoothie as well. Not a place I would normally go but I’m down for anything not named Five Guys because I’ve used these promos so many times.

Just spoke to chase. They said they’ve never heard of this offer. Be careful.

Burton

It’s through the Chase pay app. If you use Chase pay you can see it being applied automatically before you checkout. They run versions of this promotion multiple times a year. What is your concern?

whitney
whitney

is this offer in the same location as all the other Chase offers that aren’t related to Chase Pay? it’s my first time using the Chase Pay app and I see offers but they look like the exact ones that I see in my Chase app. none of which are $5 off a meal today or 3x for $10 credit.

Burton
Burton

No – different than chase offers. Go through Chase Pay App, click “Find,” and then choose from the “order ahead” section and it will show the offer once you click a restaurant.

Thank you! Sadly the only thing worth eating nearby is at the Epicenter which is in full scale “get ready” mode for the NBA all-star game here in Charlotte this weekend. not worth saving $5 to navigate that madness, haha

Anyone know if the V-day offer would stack with the $5 Welcome offer for first-time users?

Am also interested in knowing. Thanks.
