Chase Pay Best Buy & Walmart Deals Are Available To All Ultimate Rewards Cardholders

We just posted two new Chase Pay deals:

The terms on both offers contained the language ‘This promotional offer is non-transferable.’ I was fairly certain that despite this language the offers weren’t targeted and open to all cardholders and have received confirmation from Chase’s media team that this is the case.

  • All Chase Ultimate Rewards consumer cards are eligible and notified by multiple channels (Chase Sapphire, Chase Sapphire Reserved, Freedom and Freedom Unlimited).

Guess it’s time to find out if this will stack with the quarter bonus on the feeedom! 15x back!

  2. You think the JPM Reserve also qualifies?

  3. Austin says:

Chase pay still doesn’t work if you have biz and personal cards on the same account, right?

    • Pretty sure that issue has been fixed now.

      • grrizzly says:

No, the issue has not been fixed. Only yesterday I tried to add Chase Pay to Starbucks. At the point when you’re supposed to get a security code to confirm enrollment, I got an error message that directed me to call the customer service. The web support said that I couldn’t use Chase Pay because of the business and personal cards in the same account.

I think the people who were successful have a personal online account that was augmented to include business cards. I instead have a business online account that was modified to handle personal cards.

        • Undsputed says:

In case it contributes to the data points, I have a personal account that worked just fine, but I have a separate business login that directed me to call support because of my contact information missing. Of course the rep said it looked like everything was there on the account. I figure I’ll have it settled for next time.

I have a business account that I have augmented to include personal cards. It gave me the same error.
Logged into, went to chase pay and set it up with my personal cards. Logged out, went back to walmart and then tried chase pay and it worked without a glitch – just check the card chase pay is set up with.

    • Albert H says:

It has worked from Day one for me.

  4. captainsave says:

Did they fix that fraud fiasco last time they had this promo? Not worth it if i have to go thru the fraud team to get my login back.

    • Alex Nelson says:

Would love to know this as well.

      • Hashim says:

i am not sure what happened last time , but i was trying to enrol myself into chase pay , and i got an error message to call them up. It took them 20 minutes to provide me with a code . I was jumping from one dept to the other, asking different types of verification questions. It was a hassle

    • Rich says:

Judging from my email inbox this morning? Nope. I’m going to have to call in about a $30 Netflix card I used as a litmus. This is all the more ridiculous because I literally ordered $150 worth if electronics from them, in the same card, two days ago.

  5. Dan says:

Are the limits per account or per card?

  6. Eugene says:

May be a little off topic but I am having a problem using Chase Pay. When I called customer service they explained that a single sign-on accounts, i.e., those with personal and business under the same id, are ineligible to use this service. Did anybody experience a similar issue?

    • uclalien says:

I installed the Chase Pay app and couldn’t log in. It told me to call Chase to get an authorization code. I don’t have anything in particular that I am looking to buy and don’t have time to deal with Chase today. Perhaps that was my issue as well, as I have a combined personal and business account.

      • Ren says:

You have to use the personal account ID . I have combined personal and business ID. Tried to log in with my combined ID and wasted some time with customer service. Got confirmation from them that I was eligible if I used the personal ID which I had totally forgotten but was still active on my Freedom card.

  7. lisa says:

Can I spread the spend across multiple separate purchases, or is it a one shot use it or loose it deal? As I read the info at the chase links, looks like it works across multiple purchase, but I’m not certain. Thanks.

  8. Mohammad Moghimi says:

Would it work on gift cards too?

  9. VM says:

So I can do both CSR and Freedom as its each card?

  10. ppsh says:

Anyone getting “We’re having trouble with your request. Please wait a moment and then try again.” when choosing to use Chase Pay during checkout at

  11. J says:

Wondering if the chase ink business cards that earn UR points would work as well

  12. Drivesabrowntruck says:

They sure are pushing this Chase Pay. Loving it, especially since I am on two player mode with 6 cards worth of earning potential. MSing problems, I feel like I’m going to have to neglect my SPG for a couple weeks to work this spend out.

  13. Susu says:

I can login to my Chase Pay by using both of my personal account and Business Account. Do you think I can claim 10 points twice from my Chase Unlimited by using Business Account linked chase pay once and Personal Account linked Chase Pay once?

  14. Dev says:

I was trying to register for chase pay, couldn’t get in, asked to call CSR, didn’t know why,
After I read here, I undertood that I have business cards in the same login.

But here is how I got it worked:
I still remember my old personal user ID and password, before I merged the accounts with business cards.worked like charm.

    Thank you.

  15. Shane says:

Anyone know if Walmart electronic gift cards trigger the extra UR points? Trying to skirt the fee. Thanks

  16. Stan says:

Sign up at went easy even with business cards there. Chase already had it set t CSR and went easy to set it. Notice that Walmart visa gift cards online are vanilla. Can you use chase pay in store to buy a visa gift card there and how do it in store?

  17. MoreSun says:

Worked for me on our combo personal/biz login Chase Pay. CSR is the default card on that and it processed fine. Now to cross my fingers Walmart doesn’t cancel the order…

  18. Stan says:

Am I correct that visa gift card online at Walmart are vanilla?

  19. Ed says:

Was at Best Buy when the doors opened Thanksgiving Day at 5 PM. $400 purchase has already posted to CHASE FREEDOM showing +9% CHASE PAY Best Buy bonus for a total of 4000 UR points earned. Doesn’t get any easier than that. Thank you!

  20. polo says:

Does CSP get this bonus through Chase Pay?

  21. Jeff H says:

I have two accounts. In order to use Walmart Pay, I was only allowed to use it when my email addy used on matched the email addy that Walmart Pay had.

  22. Pat S says:

Anybody have any luck with a portal paying out for 3rd party gift card? (Chick-fil-A)
