Our Verdict
The standard offer on this card used to be 70,000 Ritz Carlton points (can be used interchangeably as Marriott points as well), although this has been as high as 140,000 Ritz Carlton points twice in the last year. It now looks like the standard offer is one free night after $2,000 in spending.
Personally I’d recommend waiting in the hopes that the 140,000 point offer comes back, this gives you a lot more flexibility on where and how you spend your points (it also opens up the air + hotel packages Marriott offers). If you are seriously considering this offer, I’d recommend reading my full review of the card first and also keep in mind Ritz Carlton/Chase are being a lot more strict on what counts for the annual travel credit.
We’ve added this offer to our list of the best hotel credit cards. What do you think of this new offer? Are you going to grab it or will you wait for the 140,000 point offer?
Also don’t know why I typed my wife’s name above…need my coffee this morning
Heads up – there is a tier 5 at the Ritz Carlton and it includes some of the best hotels in North America.
