Our Verdict

100,000 matches the best offer we’ve ever seen. Standard offer is 60k and sometimes we’ve seen 75k. We’ll add this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.

It might be worth waiting until to see if referral links get this offer, that way you can help out a friend. Otherwise, find a blogger with affiliate links to support by using their link to sign up (we don’t have affiliate links).

Reminder that you can one Sapphire Preferred bonus per person/lifetime and one Sapphire Reserve bonus per person/lifetime. Sapphire Reserve just went down from 150k to 100k online or 125k in-branch, so might be worth waiting on signing up for that card to see if something better comes another time.

  • Unfroze EX, EQ, TU and applied 6/15/2026 in Chase app. The app said “You’re already approved for a Chase Sapphire Preferred card”. 0/24, 790 FICO. It kicked back a 7-10 business days message.

    • Update: called recon and was approved. Expediting card for receipt in 1-2 business days.

DP: They pulled Experian but evidently not TransUnion or Equifax.

  • I just PCed to the Sapphire from CSP (only available when downgrading). Now I can’t issue a referral link in the app, but I have my old one saved. Will it update to 100K?

  • Signed up for this card with bonus in 2022 and got a pop up that I’m ineligible. So the “lifetime” language goes back at least 4 years

    • Can you expand on this a little? i.e. You went to apply, you started filling out app, etc…. Did you at least know you were ineligible before submitting application? Anyone else want to point out a conversation on this topic elsewhere, I would like to see how this works, thanks.

      • You cannot get the bonus again on this card if you have ever received a Sapphire Preferred bonus in the past.

No info on if there is a number of years as “lifetime” like Amex. So the assumption is you can never get it again if you have ever received it

        • I understand that, similar thing with the $1000 bonus on the ink cards without an annual fee that is out there. I am honestly not sure if I have ever had a card with that criteria on p2 and just wondering when the system communicates to you that you’re not eligible.

  • Like many others, I’m curious how their “lifetime” language applies.

I currently have a CSP and am under 5/24, so would love to take advantage of this offer if I was able to.

  • I applied as sole prop and they are asking for the below. Some say a driver’s license and utility bill is enough. Any ideas?

  • Not 100% related to this elevated offer, but it is the Preferred card.

I saw today on my Preferred: “Spend $10, get $10 back, up to 10 times. Offer Expires September 10th, 2026”.

This was a pop up when checking out at Newegg.com trying to use the 10x bonus using Paze.

I have not seen it yet on my Freedom.

Anyone else see this on their Preferred? If yes, are there any data points on this stacking with the 10x points using Paze in 2H 2026?

I didn’t see the ability to attach on Doctor of Credit a picture I took of this offer.

  • I was waiting for this to come around again and I’m considering applying but not sure given the “once per lifetime” issue”, the “may not be available” language in the T&Cs, opening another chase card earlier this year, and having six chase personal cards (seven including a business card) already open.

    Any suggestions/thoughts/advice would be appreciated.

I previously had a CSP one time. Opened 05/08/21 and closed 06/07/22 for an 80k SUB.

I’m at 4/24 and will be 3/24 around 11/20/26. I’m also 3/12 and 2/6 if that has any relevance.

Opened a Chase Marriott Bonvoy in 01/2026 for the 5 free nights SUB.

I haven’t opened any Chase Personal Cards other than the Bonvoy in quite some time – probably 2-3 years.

Currently have six active Chase Personal Cards – Freedom Flex, Freedom Unlimited, Disney, Bonvoy, and two Freedoms. I also have one Ink Business Cash opened last October.

    • Lifetime means lifetime. You got it once, can’t get it again….at least until somebody finds out Chase loosened the once per lifetime.

  • I’m wondering how long this offer will last? I’m exactly at 5 personal cards in 24 months. Resets in August.

    • Maybe next month.

Was your oldest card on july or august of 2024? If it is in july – you can safely apply 1st of next month, or you have to wait till august 1st.

      • Oldest card was around mid August ’24. So does that but me at Aug 1st or Sept 1st 🤔

    • No one really knows why they approve some on not, a lot, of others since they changed the language: The new cardmember bonus may not be available to you if you previously held this card or received a new cardmember bonus for this card.

    • Be the datapoint you want to know… Nobody knows with the recent changes in the wording

  • Waiting for that first DP here or on reddit to see if they match. They did with CSR 150k, didn’t with the Inks. We’ll see…

  • Chase acting desperate at this point.. CSR 150k, Inks 100k, Ink referrals 40k and CSP 100k all within the same month? But then, why put lifetime restrictions and Ink referral restrictions when almost everyone has gotten one of these cards already in their lifetime and aren’t eligible for the SUB? Kinda contradictory. Anyone think they’ll ever change these eligibility rules again, or that’s a no go?

      • Chase as a business is still doing great in terms of profitability. Hopefully some top credit exec decides to loosen the restrictions to boost their own bonuses.

    • I don’t think it’s really a lifetime restriction in the absolute sense. I got a CSP in April despite having it before, got in 2021 and closed in 2024, and currently hold a CSR. Just finishing up the bonus this month. Not sure what their process is. I am CPC with a ton of money at Chase, don’t know if that mattered.
