Our Verdict
Previous best offer was 75,000 miles with annual fee waived or 100,000 miles but that required $10,000 in spend. Keep in mind 5/24 rule does apply to this card, but Chase business cards do not report to your personal credit report so this card won’t be added to your 5/24 total.
I do think this offer is worth doing and I doubt we will see a bigger bonus on this card anytime soon. Will add this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.
The UA Biz card offer is now 125K miles.
0/24, 850 FICO got denial letter w/i 24 hours saying too many many request for credit or open accounts with us. Currently have 9 accounts with Chase. Really like them and I don’t want to trigger any opportunity for possible shutdown. Is it still worth a call or should I just opt of getting any more chase cards. Had a Just for you showing the ink premier was already approved so I figured I’d try for a different card so figured I’d try it.
Update: Called Recon offer to have personal limits lowered and they said it was an option but had to be done first before evaluating. Spoke to different agent to lower personal limits over 11k. Called in once in place and had reevaluated, Approved without new credit but by taking limit from current Ink in order to approve. Now have 10 cards with Chase. feeling its close to affecting future apps. Wont keep this one long term but good SUB
Anyone know if theres a way to get around having to go into a physical Chase branch to “verify identity”? Ive had many chase cards, business and personal but now after applying for this one (previously had it years ago as well), they declined me unless I can physically go into a chase branch (im outside the USA mostly permanently so thats a problem)
Does anyone know when will the 5,000 better together bonus miles post after the annual fee? It’s been more than a month for me and haven’t see it in my united account.
They post at card renewal, not for the first year
Offer is back!
Decided to go for this in case my inks start reporting to my credit file and was auto-approved. Currently have two inks opened in 7/2024 and 9/2024, but never had any others. Just dropped to 4/24 at the start of the month.
Not sure if these helped, but I had closed my United Gateway a couple weeks ago to drop my total credit line and kept the cash from their savings account bonus for an extra week in case there was some benefit. I did notice that this card appeared on my “explore credit cards” page once the Gateway dropped off, so I’m suspecting that closing it helped.
I opened this card just over 12 months ago and still holding. Annual fee about to hit. Can I apply for this again and get the SUB while having the other one open?
On the application page, scroll down to the bottom and you will notice the following:
10) The new Cardmember bonus offer is only available if I do not have this card and have not received a new Cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months.
Chase is becoming more stringent on opening new card now. They declined my application for this card since my last business card (ink) opened in August of 2024.
Will lowering credit limit on an existing Ink card help getting approved for this new United card? Currently have 1 Ink Cash ($3K limit with $200 balance) and 1 Ink Unlimited ($5100 limit with $2900 balance – 0% APR until October 2025)
Hi
Celia 🔗,
May I confirm how the 5/24 is determined? This is strictly new personal cards that show up on your credit report, right?
Business cards don’t count, right? In the past 2 years, I’ve received 4 Inks and 1 Citi Bus.
Thanks
Celia 🔗
So even though Chase issued those 4 Ink cards, they won’t count it against you .. cause they can clearly see this information .. right?
Thanks
Celia 🔗. So this means I’m at 0/24 🙂
If all you’ve opened are those biz ones, most likely, yes. 🙂
Yes. just biz ones. Now I need to find a good spot read to really understand which cards are best or rather how to determine what to go for next. I see AMEX listed here but I heard they are anti-MS.
Depends on your spending habits and so many other factors like MS availability in your area, your risk tolerance, etc. Amex is my oldest, yet least used card. I gravitate toward Chase’s UR ecosystem. But everyone is different. Read through different threads, see what piques your interest. Good luck.
Hi
Celia 🔗,
For MS, I tend to get a card when I have large purchases like property taxes and thanks to this site, I am aware of other MS avenues so I was able to pull off a CIP with $10K spend. I thought AMEX was not MS-friendly but that’s what I need to figure out.
I’ve been strictly AA for years but started running low and decided to hop on the Chase/UR ecosystem … but I feel like I wasn’t able to get the same redemption rates when I compared AA miles for a flight against a similar United (UR->United) flight OR UR->British Airways for AA. In some cases BA redemption rate was 2X AA.
So I wonder if I am missing something since everyone says UR is the best.
From what I’ve seen in my reading is that Amex tends to come up more with not being MS friendly but some find that ecosystem preferable that they’ll find ways around limitations (pop up jail, L3 data avoidance).
I backed off Chase for a bit since I got declined for an Ink earlier last year when they started being a little more stingy. Been churning US Bank biz cards lately.
Hi
Celia 🔗 ,
Don’t get me started on property taxes … its about to be higher than my mortgage!
Yes, it seems AA is a hub for me which is odd cos United is headquartered here .. its a head-scratcher for me. I do the same … compare CSP 1.25 redemption vs using miles and last year AA miles flight won out hand down. I just didn’t have any.
I am mostly interest in AMEX since I can buy AA flights or convert rewards to BA(aka fly AA). Since I only have 1 week left and no time to do more research, I think I’ll just apply for this card since I understand the Chase ecosystem and it’ll keep me at 0/24.
And for me it’s United presumably because it is headquartered here, though looks like they’re moving to Denver. Everyone’s different, makes the world go around.
Hi
Celia 🔗
Oh so we are neighbors 🙂 I didn’t know United was planning to move to Denver.
US Bank biz cards … are those easy to get using just Sole Prop and our SSN? I did churn their Business account which still open … not sure if that would help.
I’ve not had an issue with US Bank biz cards or Wells Fargo biz but have had issue with getting Cap 1 biz cards (or any cards through them). I do think the biz checking could only help. I finally just closed my biz checking so I could churn it when eligible.
Its ok, neighbor .. the sudden “warm” weather has everyone outdoors & excited lol!. Churning must wait 🙂
Hmm. good data-point on Cap 1, I assumed they would be easy.
I haven’t applied yet but will this weekend or Monday. I think I’m going to settle on this United Biz card and Barclay AA(heard it will be discontinued soon)
Strange but after opening this card this week, initially I got two lounge passes but then two more, so 4 total. Anyone else?
One theory is that this might be because two cards were issued—one was overnighted per my request and another one is coming soon—so maybe the passes are issued when a new card is printed/sent.
Same thing happened to me. But it’s not a two-card issue, since I only got one card, which arrived in the mail today. I wonder if they’re going to claw back two of the passes…
I still have the 4 passes. Thinking to sell two of them
