You can add the gift card to your account, then edit your autoship and change the payment method to the gift card.
You can also try applying it by calling in. Their customer service is 24/7 and they are amazing.

Too many restrictions on Chewy gift cards make chewy gift card purchases unattractive most of time, including this time. In my personal opinion, the two worst restrictions about chewy GC are (1) only one chewy GC can be used in an order and (2) Chewy GC cannot be used for orders that bundle with bonus GC.
Totally agree. With my experience it’s a no brainer to just not purchase them until they become a “true” gift card.
Where’s the best deal on pet food then?
YMMV. Good deal if you can use this right away, but maybe not the best idea to speculatively purchase with the intent of using it in the future
