*Important Update*

Seems like Citi has finally limited the credit cards usable for these deals to those that qualify for the Citi Easy Deals program, which at the time of writing are only the Diamond Preferred and Simplicity cards. This check is hardcoded into the CC# field at checkout. All other cards no longer work with Citi Easy Deals.

Other cards were still working when I did this last month. Sad day…Citi Easy Deals will still be a useful and profitable source of first-hand GCs for resale and personal use, but CC rewards and MSR are now completely eliminated from the equation.

I didn’t notice this until I went to checkout, which is why I didn’t include it in my above comments earlier today. Sorry for posting so many comments…

I just purchased a few cards, and used my Citi DoubleCash MC, with my wife’s Simplicity card. I tried a different non-Citi MC, but wasn’t allowed. Can’t remember the exact message.

Staples pGC limit is now up to 10.

To clarify, I meant to say used my Citi DC MC card to pay for an order from the easy deals site that my wife’s Simplicity card has access too.

Interesting, I tried Premier and Prestige, and neither worked. Perhaps TYP cards are specifically excluded? I wonder if ATTAM would work, then. I don’t have one to test out though

10/25/17 update to purchase limits and brands:

I will only list brands that I deem notable in terms of the purchase discount offered, since otherwise there would be too many.

The following brands are all $90 for $100, and they are pGC via mail unless otherwise noted:

Amazon – Max 1 every 30 days
Walmart – Max 1 every 30 days
Target – Max 1 during the lifetime of this offer
Home Depot – Max 1 every 30 days
Nordstrom – Max 1 every 30 days

Staples (both eGC and pGC available) – Max 5 every 1 day (yes, you read that right)
Neiman Marcus – Max 10 every 7 days

AFAIK Starbucks and Lowe’s are no longer available.

Also, Visa and MC are still the only payment options available.

Target has been updated to 1 per 30 days, like the rest. Don’t know when exactly the terms were changed.

New offer:
Dunkin Donuts $25 for $15 – Looks like max 1 during the lifetime of this offer

Also new (or at least, I don’t recall seeing it a month ago) is:

10% off Office Depot (available in $100, $50 and 2x$25 denoms)

You get the limit doubled if you have both cards right?

when does the limit of 5 resets. is there a time constraint as well?

Both of these cards seem to be the same. Any advantage in downgrading to one over another ?

I’m not seeing a limit on these. I added 5 each of amazon and walmart without issue, but didn’t check out.

Do the enhanced and plus tiers have the same qualifications?

No, that was a typo in the post. It’s $500 for the Plus tier. But I suspect there wouldn’t be much value to be had in the additional unlocked content, so the Enhanced tier should be enough for most of us.

Anyway, looks like it’s time to PC my DC into a DP. Most of those deals are winners/free money. The total profit for this round (per card, if you max out the profitable brands) would be slightly more than the BBR’s quarterly free money disbursement of $30.

Also, when you cross the qualification threshold, you will retain status for the current year as well as all of the next calendar year.

And I can’t see anywhere that says whether you can or cannot use cards that aren’t on your Citi profile, but I would assume that you can use other bank cards for these deals.

In my experience they only let you pay with a citi card, but that may have changed.

I was able to use my USAA Limitless to get an Amazon GC… IIRC it was limited to MasterCard or Visa, though (no Amex or Discover).

Is this confirmed? I have a Citi Simplicity card and have access to these deals, but when checking out, I want to enter my Chase FU.

Shoot, Will just corrected the per-brand limit from 2 to 5.

Well that certainly changes things! Need to get on this one ASAP…

oh so this is what the Diamond Preferred that I keep getting offers in the mail to apply for is good for.
