Just scored the Amazon card. It was listed under Recently Added.
I found it unusual that I am being sent a physical gift card by mail and not an emailed redemption code.

The Exxon card was still available a few minutes ago. It’s in the “Daily Deals” area.

Looks like the free Amazon gift card is gone. When I click on recently added it says access denied. Won’t show up anywhere else either.

I’m tempted to apply for the Citi Diamond Preferred sometime in the 1st quarter of 2023 just to have access to yearly free or discounted gift cards. At worst if Citi Easy Deals don’t pan out, the Diamond Preferred can be used to PC into another Custom Cash anyway.

People who have the Diamond Preferred/Simplicity. I sometimes hear that Citi sends out targeted offers to use the card. How often does that happen?

P2 has Simplicity and gets a 5% offer by mail about once per quarter.

Nice. That is good. What are some of the 5% categories that Citi send out and what are the durations of the offers? Also, did your Simplicity have to sit idle for a lengthy period of time before Citi decides to send out those targeted offers?

If you really think the occasional Amazon gift card is worth a credit card slot it would make more sense to apply for a premier or other card with a sign up bonus and pc from there after a year. Citi easy deals is shit tbh.

I already got the Premier for the 80k sub already. I also have 1 Custom Cash, 1 Double Cash, and 1 Rewards+. I’m primarily just interested in having 3 Custom Cash so I need more Citi cards for the eventual product change into Custom Cashes for the long term. I’m not much of a churner. The Diamond Preferred has a $150 sub from Credit Karma so I figured why not get it in a few month? If Citi Easy Deals is more useful than another Custom Cash, then great. If not then the card will be PC’ed into another Custom Cash, which is my original plan anyway. I just need more Citi cards.

Just picked up the Amazon GC. Was going to grab the Exxon one but don’t see a place to add it in the app.

The Exxon is a daily deal. If you spend $500 in a year, you can see daily deals.

I don’t see a place to use it in the Exxon Mobile app. I can buy it, no problem. But if I can’t use it in the app, I didn’t want to buy it.
