OK”

EDIT: Got it to work. In for one Uber and Walmart. Thanks DoC!

Did you do something in particular to get it to work? I’ve gotten this error for months/years, but never cared until now because Citi Easy Deals didn’t usually seem to be worth paying attention to.

Not 100% sure. Combination of opening the link in Incognito a bunch of times and enabling Flash. At some point, it just worked. Sorry and hope that helps!

I ended up calling customer service and was able to get the account issues straightened out.

Lukas

I find it’s easier to login through Citi Bank online banking. Citi Easy Deals will show on your eligible card. I also got those errors when login through Citi Easy Deals website. But it works well through Citi Bank online banking

I’m still locked out with same error code. 😡

Tried incognito on safari, chrome and Edge on my PC, my account and my husband’s.

I never had issues logging in before this. Tried online chatting with Citi and they said I had to call the Citi Easy Deals number which isn’t open until Monday.

Do these types of deals happen frequently enough to make it worthwhile to actually PC to one of these cards? Or is it only like a once-a-year kinda thing as the holidays approach?

Glenn
Glenn

it is pretty rare but more than once a year. It is subjective but for me there are about 2 or 3 deals a year worth doing. I only did 1 this year (this one)

Dividend > Any other convertible citi car. This deal ran at the end of 2018 last time, so doesn’t make a huge difference.

But if you have simplicity card which isn’t convertible, then yeah this deal is worth spending $100 a year to be eligible for citi easy deals.

I always got the following error. How do you log in to Citi Easy Deals?

I was running into the same issue on chrome by clicking the link or even just trying to logon to citicards.com. I tried Internet Explorer, went to citicards.com, and then clicked on the Easy Deals link on my account homepage. That worked for me.

It’s not worth $10 to have to use Internet Explorer ever again 😛

Mine has been like that for years—I think since the time they made program changes in September 2016.

Today, I ended up calling customer service to get the account straightened out. The rep was actually very helpful. I found out that:

1) When signing in, you have to choose “Citi Easy Deals” from the dropdown and sign in with your Citi Easy Deals Email/Member ID. Don’t try to sign in with the “Citibank or Citi Cards” option.

2) In my case, my account was locked due to failed login attempts.

3) My Easy Deals account had old profile information (it doesn’t get updated when you update your contact info for the credit card, apparently), which was throwing me off when trying to reset the password. I had to use the contact information I had in September 2016.

Maybe one of these would apply to you?

So after initially getting in using my Citi account somehow bypassing the error, I couldn’t do it again for my 7 day purchase. I followed Step #1 above, except I tried to reset my password and used my old ZIP code. Voila, now I can log in every time. Thanks so much!

Same issue. I can typically log in but am having problems today.

I find it’s easier to login through Citi Bank online banking. Citi Easy Deals will show on your eligible card. I also got those errors when login through Citi Easy Deals website. But it works well through Citi Bank online banking

anyone know if the $100 year spend required to keep Plus tier status is per calendar year or what?

Shyam
Shyam

I believe the Plus tier requirement is $500 spend.
Once you meet the spend req, your tier will be reflected at your next statement close and it’s valid till the following full year(if you qualify this month, your status is valid till Dec 2020)

30% off Walmart gift cards? That’s unheard of! But I converted my Diamond Preferred to another Dividend card a few years ago…

Walmart and BP gift cards for 30% off is a really good deal.

I think those are the only two Citi cards I dont have. Could I product change a Preferred to Simplicity card?

Tamblayeh
Tamblayeh

Yes. I receive mailings all the time to change my Diamond Preferred to Simplicity. Before Simplicity came out, it was a push to change to a different card I can’t immediately remember. It seems like they want to do away with Diamond Preferred.

Thank you, got BP and Walmart GCs. Great find!

Some seriously good deals here. Thanks.

It looks like you can order these once every 7 days.

I found out when, out of curiosity, I tried to buy these again today. Not only are these special offers still available, I was able to place an order for them. Curious, I tried doing it again, and that’s when I saw the message, “You Already Reached The Maximum Purchase Limit For This Item. You Can Purchase Only 1 Over A Period Of 7 Days.”

I was able to purchase again. This is awesome.

holy crap it worked. there’s also a 10 itunes GC for $5. thanks AA and DOC

veeRob

How do you even get to the enhanced tier? I know it’s $100 spend, but I don’t see any deals worth spending $100 on to unlock these deals. Very frustrated.

AA
AA

I believe the $100 is based on your credit card spending anywhere, not just spending within Citi Easy Deals (in fact, I’m not sure whether spending within Citi Easy Deals counts—although I don’t see an exclusion stated anywhere).

Basically, if you spend $100 on your eligible Citi card in a calendar year, then you’ll get into the Plus tier. Also, “after you reach the required spend in a calendar year, access to that tier will be available at the start of your next billing period. You will remain in that tier for that year and the entire next calendar year or until you reach a new tier” (https://citieasydeals.com/gateway?t=tierlearnmore).

Thanks for the 7-day tip!

veeRob

I thought that maybe it was just $100 spend on the card but then thought nah there’s no way it’s that easy. Thanks for educating me.

Just PC’ed to this card so wasn’t sure how it worked.

I would love to take advantage of this deal but cannot for the life of me log on to the easy deals site. Different browsers/mobile/incognito nothing seems to work.

Sevillada
Sevillada

I also had trouble on mobile…went to regular citi website on citi and then on the right-hand side banner, next to your hundreds of thousands of miles and CTY points, there’s a link to eady deals. That one works

Lil bird

I’m calling them today. It’s definitely something on their end. I tried every combo of browser apple/PC etc. to no avail.
