The Citi ThankYou preferred card is no longer accepting new applications and the card has been removed from the Citi website as an option as well. Citi often pulls credit card products like this before changing the benefits structure on the card. Interestingly earlier in the year Citi pulled the Citi Diamond Preferred card and rebranded the Citi ThankYou Premier to simply Citi Premier, the Citi Diamond card is now available again. Unfortunately the Diamond card isn’t useful, the best use is getting access to the infrequent Citi Easy Deals.
I suspect we will see the ThankYou Preferred back sooner rather than later, I haven’t heard of any whisperings about any potential changes but it’s possible they will be made.
