Credit Karma Now Gives Users Access To Their Full TransUnion Credit Report Updated Weekly

credit karma free transunion credit reportCredit Karma has announced that users can now get their full TransUnion credit report updated weekly. This is in addition to the one free TransUnion credit report that consumers are legally entitled to under the FACT amendment to the FCRA, most people with know of this as the website annualcreditreport.com (you can get one copy per credit bureau per twelve months). In the past Credit Karma only gave their users access to a partial report that contained major credit events (such as applications for new credit, late repayments and so forth). This change should help consumers easily support inaccuracies on their credit report.

For those unfamiliar, Credit Karma is a free credit monitoring site that gives users a free FAKO score. They make money through affiliate commissions on financial products (most noticeably credit cards). If you’d like more information on Credit Karma, we’d recommend looking through our full review which can be found here.  There are several competitors to Credit Karma which provide information on different credit bureaus/offer different credit tools.

  • Quizzle: Information based on your Equifax credit report. Offers one full report per year.
  • Credit Sesame: Information based on your Experian credit report. Also offers free identity theft insurance. Does not offer a full report.
  • Credit.com: Based on your Experian credit report. Does not offer a full report.
  • Wisepiggy.com: Based on your TransUnion credit report. Does not offer a full report.
