Daily Getaways Will Return For 2018 – Preview Now Available – Deals Start 04/09

Update 2: DansDeals has a full list.

Update: We can now see a preview of the first two weeks of deals. None of the first two week deals are particularly exciting to me, but maybe others will find some value there.

Week one

Week two

Daily Getaways by the US Travel Association is back for 2018. You can see last years deals here. A preview of the offers will become available on April 2nd, with deals starting on April 9th. My issue with Daily Getaways is that the majority of the deals aren’t very good and the deals that are great are impossible to actually purchase due to low amounts being made available. I’m sure I’ll waste a bit of time going after the more popular deals as I do most years, but my expectations will be rock bottom.

When the deal preview goes live, we will add our analysis to this post to see what deals are/aren’t worth trying for.

All of the deals are terrible this year, the vegas deals are actually overpriced compared to what you can book on your own.

The only thing worthwhile is the Hyatt points at about 1 cpp each. I’ll try for those again this year. I was lucky to snag a package last year.

I have purchased 100,000 IHG points several times, but not after their most recent devaluation — unless the cost per point dropped significantly as well.

there’s an easy trick to buying IHG points at $25 +/- any day of the year so this offer looks quite unappealing

$25 per point seems expensive :/

One of the best things about this site is the brutally honest info provided. One of the reasons I keep coming back and recommending this site to my fellow dealers. Thank you much for the info and keep up the excellent work!
