Delta Flash Sale: Round Trip To Mexico From 10,000 Miles/$188

The Offer

  • Delta has an unadvertised flash sale with round trip flights to Mexico from 10,000 miles or $188

Our Verdict

We’ve recently seen flash sales to Europe and North/Central/South America from 5,000 miles. Main problem with these flash sales is we don’t have the full details/date ranges. But it looks like this is good for:

  • September 2021 to May 2022
  • Lots of domestic airports to Cancun (CUN), Puerto Vallarta (PVR) and Cabo (SJD)

Use the monthly calendar to quickly view pricing and then you can go from there.

Lowest I’m seeing in NYC to PVR is 38k. Too bad since I really would go there as soon as October. Need one more trip this year.

Do you have to search round trip to find these? Or can you search for one ways and find some at 5k?

Thanks for the share. Great value for miles (for economy travelers) at almost 2c.

Am I the only one that doesn’t get excited by these “mainstream” Mexico destinations that are crowded af, with activities and leisure designed to woo and extract every penny out of you? That doesn’t sound like too much of a vacation to me.

Cancun and Cabo suck but Puerto Vallarta is actually a pretty enjoyable place

Jon This is highly inaccurate. Stepping outside of Cancun by 5 miles takes you to some of the most beautiful spots & Cabo is full of luxury hotels for dirt cheap. Not sure where you went, but sounds shitty.

Think it just depends. My spouse and I enjoyed a 5 night trip to an all inclusive adults only resort in Cancun a few years ago. All paid for with miles and CC points. We really didn’t leave the resort.

“We really didn’t leave the resort.”

Exactly why it’s a lame way to spend time in a foreign country.

They probably took the vacation as a way to relax rather than to explore. More like a cruise than a regular vacation.

That’s actually a right thing to do. It might not be safe outside.

not everyone wants to spend the little time they have always exploring like a zoomer, some want to recharge or be pampered away from kids or job.

Anyone else getting hit with tons of fees? For LAXPVR, it’s 14k miles on the dates I wanted but $109 in fees

The fees are high when flying out of Mexico due to taxes from Mexico.

Murikans so large these days that they do 3x the damage to the infrastructure. Those fees are to repair the cracks on the runways from planes full of murikans.
