Last week we saw domestic flights only, this week we see Europe flights only. Usually we see multiple regions targeted. Sale fares are usually available for dates slightly outside the travel periods listed above.

I agree; a lot of times, paying with cash turned out to be the better option for us.
We’ve switched to CC cashback rewards now and redeem as soon as rewards post.
Wait are these sales or a massive devaluation announcement?
SkyPesos have been nearly worthless (outside of decent award sales, that is) for years now. Are you really surprised?
We just got back from a RT to Paris in business for 90k on Delta last month. I would call this a devaluation announcement.
I do click on these “sales” every time though, just in case we find an actual bargain again.
88k for economy to Europe? Is listing that as a sale price some kind of sick joke?
This is why you need piles of points in lots of FF programs so that you can cherry-pick the best redemptions. Relying on Delta isn’t going to get you good redemptions unless you find a diamond in the rough during an award sale.
What is Delta thinking? These are terrible. Atlanta to Europe is 88k, but just a few months ago was only 70k to Japan?!
