[Expired] Loyalty Program New User Dining Bonuses: 4,000 IHG 3,000 Delta & American Airlines, 2,000 United & More

This deal has expired and is no longer being offered.

Update 02/28/18: Reposting as there is now a 4k IHG bonus as well. Hat tip to reader Andrew

These are back for 2018 and most are slightly higher than what they usually offer.  The fine print is similar across all offers, you need to create a post dine review and your restaurant visits must be within 30 days of signing up for the promotion. Note: These are sign up bonuses for new users only. Remember you can only enroll a card in one of these at a time and it conflicts with other programs that use Rewards Network. You can read more about card linked loyalty programs here.

Our Verdict

United has had a larger bonus of 5,000 before but it required more spend. United also had a 2,500 bonus last time we posted, so might be worth waiting for a bigger bonus on that. All the others are the best that has been available (at least the ones I’ve covered on this site) or equal best available unless otherwise mentioned. Remember you can only enroll a card in one of these at a time and it conflicts with other programs that use Rewards Network. Also points earned from Southwest do count towards the companion pass, but the bonus (1,000) points do not count.

Some of these offers are currently available – I just now signed up for the Alaska 1000 miles offer.

AA’s doesn’t require $25 in spending on subsequent visits:

“To earn the initial 1,500 American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles on this offer, you must dine at any participating restaurant, bar, or club, and spend at least $25 (including tax and tip) on your check. To earn the subsequent 500 AAdvantage® bonus miles on this offer, you must dine at any participating restaurant, bar, or club, and spend at least $1 (including tax and tip) on your check, for up to 3 qualifying visits”

gotta make sure we give DL pee pee points a shout out:

If you are a SkyMiles Medallion Member, you may earn this bonus for a maximum amount of 3,500 bonus miles, as such: 1,000 bonus miles on the first participating restaurant visit, 1,000 on the second participating visit, and 1,500 bonus miles on the third participating restaurant visit, all within 30 days of creating a dining profile. Limit one bonus–qualifying visit per restaurant per day.

If I cancel my membership from one of these programs, will I need to wait for a certain amount of time before re-registering to be eligible for the new user bonus?

I’m curious about this too, but it probably depends on whether they track the “new-ness” of the user via the Frequent Flyer account # or by the email address. If they track it by the email address, you probably could just create a new email, create a Rewards Network login linked to the new email, but just use your old FF account #. My guess is that its linked to your FF account meaning you’d need a new FF account to do the sign-up bonuses and then you have to merge 2 FF accounts, blahh more trouble than it is worth.

Be the datapoint you want to see…

There could be also some form of tracking based on the credit card number, regardless of whether the FF and/or email address has been used before. Agreed that it’s more trouble than worth.

Looks like AA has the best offer and I think this is the only I have never gotten. Too bad none of the participating restaurants look appealing, as usual.

(sarc on) $5 orbucks. Awesome Wanted to top off my $995 Orbucks balance. (sarc off) p.s. in all seriousness I think the 1k hilton points are worth less. (worthless?) literally…i used my last 455 hilton points for $0.91 on amazon.

Is this limited to first time sign ups of the respective programs?

Thanks, William!

Although, like the rest I am ineligible, when you come across any bonus for current subscribers, could you EMBLAZON a post as such! That sort of notice I could really really use!

Thanks,

Hadley

You might want to move that ‘only one program at a time’ caveat to the top. I filled out several before looking to my email.
