Dosh Raises $40 Million – Let The Good Times Roll

Card linked loyalty program Dosh has announced they have raised an additional $40 million on a $300 million valuation, bringing the total it has raised to $96 million. The last round was $44 million at a $241 million valuation. The new deal is $20 million in equity and $20 million in venture debt.

Dosh has also announced they have sent out $50 million in cash back to users. Let’s hope this means we continue to see lots of good Dosh cash back deals.

They need to improve their customer support. I have been unable to login to my account since they stopped accepting Google sign in back near October. I’ve contacted customer support probably six or seven times; each time it takes a week or longer for them to respond, and each time results in me retelling them the problem and them saying they’re working on it and getting back to me.

How can they not figure out how to let people into their accounts? It’s honestly the most insane customer service experience I’ve had in a very long time. They still have my card data and the account still works, because I get emails every time I earn cash back…

Does anyone have referrals stuck in infinite pending state even weeks after the person made an in-store purchase and received cashback?

No. I referred JuicyJosh and got my $5 within 5-10 mins on Saturday. He signed up and linked a card immediately, and I imagine that is where most people go “I ain’t giving this (insert derogatory word) app my credit card”.

I for one welcome the generous donations from our capitalist overloads. Now we cash in while we wait for the bubble to bust.

Serious question: what is a “Card linked loyalty program” and how is it different to a “shopping portal”? I’ve tried “portals” like UPromise and Discover Deals and found it very aggravating. I go for various bonuses and regular CC cashback and am wary of things that could end up being too much hassle, but I’m wondering if I’m missing something. (Also for some reason I thought “Dosh” was British slang for food, but then I remembered that that’s “Nosh”.)

It’s completely different: you input your credit card info one time, and that’s it – whenever you shop at valid locations, you’ll automatically get rewards, without the need to click through or do anything at all. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/complete-list-card-linked-store-reward-programs/

noun. British: a slang word for money. Guessing equivalent to American slang dough, loot, moolah… My mind went to a merge of dough and posh, but I have no clue if that is an accurate British explanation or meld.

Yeah, I was wondering where all the good cashback offers. 2 or 3% CB at local Thai and Mexican restaurants don’t cut it.
