Dunkin Donuts DD Perks program lets members earn 5 points per $1 spent on all purchases. Previously you needed to use a Dunkin Donuts gift card linked to your account to earn rewards, but Dunkin Donuts is doing a 1,000 store pilot program where you can earn rewards when paying with cash, debit or a credit card as well. You either scan your loyalty id QR code or use a new physical loyalty card to scan. This is a relatively minor change but will mean it’s possible to earn points when taking advantage of things such as Square cash or American Express offers. Hat tip to DDG
I knew this change was coming when I noticed a leak in the terms and conditions of one of Dunkin’s latest emails.
“Offers can only be earned during the promo period on eligible purchses made using a DD card enrolled in the DD Perks program or other accepted form of DD Perks payment in participating markets”
I just wish Starbucks would follow…
Thomas not sure what your waiting for. I have been loading my Dunkin gift card with $2 (which is the minimum) everytime before I make a purchase and I get $1 back essentially making every single purchase 50% plus you earn points!
I thought the minimum is $5 for new cards and $10 for reloads?
Santiago, I assume you have been loading it in store? Does reloads on the app trigger the credit? I was under the assumption that it did not.
Minimum reload is $10 for me. Not sure how can you buy $2. Perhaps buying in store gift card ?
cant wait to stack 1 dollar off 1.50 dunkin donuts on my $SQ card with earning rewards finally.
🙂
