Dunkin Donuts & Shell Fuel Rewards Partner

Update 2/1/20: Looks like it’s available nationwide now. You can also earn 25¢ off per gallon after you fill up 5 gallons or more.

Dunkin Donuts has partnered with Shell Fuel Rewards to offer discounts on gas purchases. Currently this partnership is only available in RI, MA, ME, VT, NH and CT and will run through 10/31/19. You’ll receive 25¢ off per gallon on your first fill up after linking accounts, you’ll then earn 10¢ off per gallon after purchasing any five beverages. I assume this won’t stack with other 10¢  discounts, such as the ones offered through T-Mobile.

Welcome to the world of stupid. I signed up for this on Feb 2. But noticed I never got the 25cent. I emailed, and here was the CSR response

“Restrictions apply. Offer valid in the United States only, from 2/3/2020 to 4/30/2020”. This means that if you linked your DD perks to FR program before 2/3/2020 you are not eligible to get the 25¢ bonus. We have conducted a thorough search of your account and were able to determine that your DD account was linked to Fuel Rewards on 02/02/2020.

The DD site has a top banner that makes it pretty clear this deal is only an extra 5 cents… they get 10 cents from stacking this 5 cents with Gold Fuel Rewards. In contrast, the T-Mobile Tuesdays gives an extra 10 cents, which stacks with Gold Fuel Rewards making 15, so you would get 20 cents off total when all three apply together: DD, TT, and GFR.

5 cents for 5 beverage purchases is a joke, but the initial 25 cents might be worth doing even for those of us who never go to Dunkin.

Looks like the state restriction has now been lifted and open to al and a new 25c offer for linking is up now.

But if you signed up before, even when it wasn’t available, it says you’re already linked. Not sure if it’s true

That’s my case. I just emailed DD about the situation, let’s see if they’re going to do anything about it.

They just sent out a second email apologizing for sending the email out to markets where it is not available.

I am in MA and linked my accounts. The fuel rewards site does show the link to the Dunkin program, but there is no mention of the 25c savings. Maybe it will show up at the pump.

As a follow up, the extra 25c did not show up at the pump.

As a followup, I contacted Fuel Rewards, and they added on the 25c

I don’t see the geographic limitations anywhere. The T&C say “Offer valid in the United States only.”

They sent me an email today telling me that the invite yesterday was sent to me erroneously and I do not live in an eligible area. The hard part now is making sure that my accounts are unlinked.

This has been going on for a long time but has historically been $0.10/gallon.

Historically it has stacked with T-Mobile and stop and shop points.

It’s a bummer I got the email about this and I do not live in either of these states. I tried to signing up, I can link the accounts but it did not trigger the 25 CPG sign on bonus.
