The Offer
- Receive 100 Alaska Miles for every $300 you spend using your Safeway club card
The Fine Print
- You can only earn Alaska Air Mileage Plan miles by shopping at participating Safeway stores located in Alaska, on qualified purchases
- Must re-enroll each year. You’ll be notified when it’s possible to re-enroll
- Only one Safeway Club Card holder per household may enroll in the program at a given time
- The following items are not included in qualified purchases for calculation of miles earned: Beer, Wine, Spirits, Tobacco Products, Fuel, All Fluid Dairy items in the Refrigerated Dairy Section (Including Fluid Dairy and Dairy Substitutes), Prescription Items and Co-Payments, Bus/Commuter Passes, Fishing/Hunting Licenses and Tags, Postage Stamps, Money Orders, Money Transfers, Ski Tickets, Amusement Park Tickets, Event Tickets, Lottery Tickets, Phone Cards, Gift Cards, Gift Certificates, Bottle Deposits and Sales Tax
- The program cannot be used or exchanged for and cannot be combined with any other program, promotion or offer
Our Verdict
It’s a shame that this program is only in Alaska and specifically excludes gift cards (anybody know if this is actually enforced or not?) Safeway has been offering lots of profitable deals on Sears gift cards, so this would be an easy way to also rack up some Alaska miles at the same time.
