Just a heads up, had $100+ in cashback pending from the previous staples VGC promo. No longer showing in my account.

i wouldnt buy giftcards with ebates in store offer at staples. high probability that they claw back (happened to me with 100% of transactions) and it risks shutdown

sam Did this happen to you with open-loop cards like VGC or MCGC or with third-party cards?

Thank you. I was thinking of picking up a couple of small Amazon gcs with my Amex offers; I wonder if that would cause an issue with Ebates as well.

i cant recall if there were many DPs of those merchant gcs, but i get the feeling those would have the same issue. they seem to be screening for them and arbitrarily remove large or suspect dollar amounts. so i would expect a purchase of $77.89 to be ok. but $200, $2000, $205.95, purchases like that i think will be wiped out. i did read that someone tried to dispute it and ask what happened, and they were asked to show a receipt to prove it wasnt gcs (it was and they were just trying to challenge it). use this reddit search site to get the most DPs. http://redditsearch.io/ input churning as the subreddit you want to search, put in a search term, select the time frame, and make sure to select comments as what you want to search

Thanks again. Too much risk for a couple of bucks.

Beginning on Sunday… $200 Mc GC’S have a no purchase fee at Staples. Simply Cash Plus Biz has 5% cash back, Ebates has 4% cash back in store, and Dosh has 3% cash back. Not a bad deal… John 3:16

Also folks shouldn’t forget the $10 on $40+ Amex offer for Staples.

Is this targeted? I don’t see a single increases in-store offer right now

Too bad Staple in store cash back is currently broken ….
( And Ebate is ” working on it ” )

Staples disappeared from my Ebates in-store offers until I unlinked an Amex card that had a buy $25, get $5 back offer. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/amex-offers-office-supply-stores-spend-25-and-get-5-back/

When I deleted the card, the Staples offer on Ebates reappeared, but Ebates won’t let me link the Amex card to that offer.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

I received an e-mail stating that “Double In-Store Cash Back ends 7/14/19 at 11:59pm PT.”

Looking to utilize the Amex Biz Plat Dell credit, should I just wait until monday to make a purchase? I feel like that wouldn’t hurt my chances if the cash back % went up.

Good call. For the Saks $50 credit personal Plat, Rakuten has 10% CB right now.

Or now it’s rakuten? What japanese genius thought their generic brand name was better for a cashback site than Ebates? That name rolls off the English tongue like a spoon full of peanut butter.

Japanese has an alphabet. So as long as you learned how to sound out words back in kindergarten, you shouldn’t have a problem.

And to answer your question, the Japanese genius is the one who is worth a hell of a lot more money than anyone who follows this website. This isn’t a knock on DoC because I love this site.

Being worth alot of money isn’t analogous to genius or intellect. Look at Trump..

Real estate mogul, entrepreneur, TV personality/celebrity, multi-billionaire, President of the United States, and leader of the free world. Now who are YOU and what have YOU achieved? LOL!

It’s ridiculous how people who have never been (nor ever will be) anywhere near as successful, think they have the right to criticize Trump’s intelligence. They’re welcome to dislike him, but if they think they’re more intelligent, they themselves end up being the ones looking like idiots.

By the way, it’s “a lot,” not “alot.” 😉

Moderator: I request that you either remove DS’s comment or allow others to respond in kind. The part about Trump was completely unnecessary, as well as inappropriate and irrelevant to this discussion.

Might be much closer to genius than you wanted to believe;)

You might have burnt thousands of various banks’ money by churning SUBs or opening accounts following Doc’s excellent articles.

But he was able to burn the banks for billions. Would you be able to pull that off?

Whether you like him or not, it actually takes “a lot” of intelligence to be a real estate mogul, entrepreneur, TV personality/celebrity, multi-billionaire, master negotiator, President of the United States, and leader of the free world.
