The Offer

  • Complete a sale of $5 or more and earn a coupon bonus towards your next eBay purchase.

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid through Sep 11, 2019 11:59:59 PM

Our Verdict

Seems to be publicly available. From what I gather, any small sale would trigger the coupon. Not a major deal here, but if you had something $5+ you were thinking of listing, this is a small win.

This may be YMMV. I clicked that link and signed up when this was first posts on DoC, and have made a couple of sales that I would have done anyway. I did not see the $5 when I made a purchase yesterday. Called ebay support to check, and they don’t see that I was sent the offer via email. Even though the link here still says I’ve already accepted the offer, eBay is saying it is not active because I didn’t receive an email (or perhaps eBay message) related to that specific seller account.

Jason I used the DoC link and activated the offer. I then listed something and sold it. I too saw no coupon when I then went to buy something. But a few days later (maybe 5-7 days actually) I got an email from ebay saying here’s my $5 coupon (a unique one-time code) and I had about 10 days until it would expire. So I don’t think you have to be targeted (I wasn’t) but I did have to create a new listing, make a sale, and then wait several days after the sale to get the coupon by email.
PS. I just tried the DoC link again, and still see the message “You’ve already accepted the offer “Make a sale, earn a $5 coupon bonus!” even though I’ve make the sale and have received my $5 coupon via email (which I haven’t used yet). I don’t know if the ebay rep was right. You may just need to wait.

Is the $5 reward coupon off a purchase of $5.01 or more? Or is the reward coupon a $5 off a $50 purchase (or something like that)….

Will someone please let me know what kind of $5 off coupon this is? $5.00 off $5.01 or is it $5 off $50?……

Is this only for new listings? Or do previously created listings also qualify?

How long does it take to for them to send you the coupon? I just sold something this morning and don’t see any coupon.

I literally bought my mother a carton of large eggs for about $1.20 three weeks ago. Now, she told me she got a carton of extra large eggs for 99 cents at the local supermarket on Saturday. Bastards.
