eBay Will Hold 20 Days Of Deals To Celebrate Their 20th Birthday, Starting This Thursday

eBay was founded over Labor day weekend 20 years ago and to celebrate they will be holding 20 days of deals. The deals will actually be broken down into two categories, eBay will be offering “every day favorites” for $20 at http://deals.ebay.com/deals and “deeply discounted deals from featured sellers” at http://www.ebay.com/rpp/eBay20deals. They’ve even been so kind to give us a few examples of these deals:

  • Acer Aspire Notebook | Sale Price $129.99 | 32% OFF
  • ASUS Tablet | Sale Price $84.99 | 55% OFF
  • Baume & Mercier Men’s Watch | Sale Price $779.99 | 55% OFF
  • Citizen Men’s Watch | Sale Price $289.99 | 58% OFF
  • HP Notebook | Sale Price $299.99 | 30% OFF
  • Yamaha Receiver | Sale Price $429.99 | $19% OFF

ebay 20 days of deals

All of the non $20 deals will also come with free shipping. Sellers aren’t being forgotten about either, you can list more items for free until September 15th with this promotion. How successful this promotion is will really depend on the deals that eBay manages to offer up and the quantity they have at those price points. This could easily turn into another PR disaster, ala Prime Day. But I daresay things will go better for eBay than they did for Amazon, although that isn’t difficult to do.
