Emirates has made a significant improvement to its rewards program by reducing the surcharges charged on award tickets. There has been no official announcement by Emirates but OMaaT points out fee reductions of ~92%. Unfortunately it looks like Emirates might have also reduced the amount of saver award space available (or made them not available at all).
