Fidelity Platinum from American Express cardholders should have or will receive a mail out informing them that on April 9th the card will be discontinued. If an annual fee has been paid, a prorated annual fee will be applied. This card hasn’t been available for new applications for years, but lots of people still had the card because the annual fee was only $320 and it came with the same benefits as other flavors of the Platinum card. This won’t come as a big surprise as American Express had in recent years partnered with Charles Schwab and Fidelity ditched the American Express card for Visa when they switched from Bank of America to U.S. Bank.
