The Offer
- DFCU Financial is offering a $175 referral bonus to both parties when the new user completes the following requirements:
- New account holder meets the qualification requirements and within 90 days: makes two (2) direct deposits of $100 or more, AND makes five (5) Mastercard® debit card transactions (pin or signature, excluding ATM transactions).
The Fine Print
- This offer is not available to any referred person who already has a DFCU Financial Checking account. Direct deposits include deposits made by your employer, or a federal or state government agency or retirement benefits administrator, and, generally, payments made by corporations or other organizations. It does not include deposits to your account that are made by an individual using online banking or an internet payment provider such as PayPal.
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Monthly Fees
Simplicity checking has a $5 monthly fee. This is waived with any of the following:
- Maintain a $100 average daily balance OR make 5 (five) debit card purchases per month
- If you’re age 21 or under
- If you’re age 56 or over
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so unsure if there is any EATF or not.
