Our Verdict
Usually I hate dealing with rebates, but the ones that pay via Venmo/PayPal usually aren’t too bad. If you think this deal is a waste of time consider yourself lucky.
This offer still seems to be valid. They are paying pre-discount card prices, and they are paying for multiple purchases per receipt up to $7, so long as they show up together on the receipt.
Zip code 06114 is working, even though it’s in CT, which is excluded. They never ask for your address if you select payment via PayPal or Venmo, and don’t look at the state on your receipt.
I did a few BOGO and didn’t get rebated for the second box?
Did the second box ring up at $0, or regular price with a corresponding discount? You get the amount on the line with the item. Each store’s register does things differently. Acme (Albertsons) prints the price after coupons and if you buy more than one it lumps them all together, so that’s not where you’d want to do it. In my case, at both Shoprite and Stop & Shop it prints the pre-card, pre-discount pricing, then takes off discounts and coupons in additional lines.
Looking back at my receipts, it’s just like yours because I shop at Giant (same company as S&S). However I did not put a check mark next to both Cheerios, only one. Not sure if that was the problem but I did submit receipts without any check marks no problem, however those were not BOGO.
Were they grouped together on the receipt? I don’t think you needed to mark them on the receipt. I had one where I bought two boxes and only got credited for one, but the second was much further down the receipt. Then I bought four on one receipt and got the full $7.
I guess it’s hit or miss depending on who reviews the receipts. They were scanned back to back so the only thing separating them was coupon discounts in between.
Given how quickly they’re approved, I think it’s automated.
Got my first full $7 for a BOGO. I actually screwed up during checkout and forgot to scan my rewards card to get BOGO, so no discounts shows on the receipt. I had to get a refund at customer service. So that tells me a box cannot be shown as free or full price discount to get rebated for it.
I take that last statement back. Submitted another one and got $7. So random.
Fair warning. Despite what the site says, they will only accept JPG files — no PNGs or PDFs.
The error messages for when you try to submit other file types are non-existent.
Note that while they exclude certain states (for reasons I cannot fathom), there is no need to enter your address beyond the zip code check.
I bought on Monday and got paid today.
Seems they pay out in batches.
2/4 Submission
2/10 Electronic payout
Nevermind. Not in batches. Another submission took only next day payout.
How did you submit for another rebate? Different IP address or vpn? I just submitted mine and they didn’t ask for my address. Terms state one per household, do they not actually enforce this?
They do enforce by duplicate receipt and email. I’m assuming by address too when you request a paper check. IP doesnt matter, they don’t have strict controls like cash back portals.
DP:
2/5 – 27oz pack bought at QFC
2/5 – Submitted receipt/information
2/5 – Received code in email
2/5 – Redeemed code at website
2/10 – Received paypal payment email
I bought it from Safeway and the receipt doesn’t even show the size and the wording of the item is “GMILLS HONEY NUT”. Would they reject this?
Just submit it and see what happens. Let them reject you. Don’t reject yourself.
Size is not required on the receipt.
I submitted my receipt today. Hopefully it doesnt take to long. Good on them to offer relatively healthy free food
How long has it taken for people to get their rebate after entering the reward code?
I submitted on the 4th. Nothing so far.
Update: I submitted my receipt on 2/5 and got the rebate via Venmo on 2/10
Going to get one from Costco later today, would that count?
did it worked for you?
No. Box is too big. Plus it’s a double box.
isn’t it just 2 boxes of 27oz which is not the excluded mega or club box? current DoC page also lists the 27oz size as well
Sure but what is the receipt going to say?
that’s what I’m asking here…
in any case, walmart also sells 32oz bag (not box), so would be good to know if that would work as well
Be the DP you want to see…
This is stackable with a promo that Ibotta is doing with Box Tops. On my Ibotta account, I received a 4 dollar bonus with my first scan. Honey Nut Cheerios qualifies as an item that can be scanned.
Tell me about this $4 scan with box tops on ibotta??
