The Offer
- Amex is offering a $25 statement credit for purchasing a $45 Sam’s Club membership with a registered Amex card, valid until December 31. There is a stated restriction that the offer is only valid on new memberships and not for membership renewals. (Unclear if this is enforced.)
- It’s now possible to get a $20 Sam’s gift card with the purchase of a new membership or a membership renewal. Print out the offer here and bring it into Sam’s when buying the membership.

After the Amex Offer, the cost will be just $20. After factoring in the $20 Sam’s gift card, the membership will effectively be completely free.
Notes
- Both offers expire on December 31
- Both offers are in-club only
- Both of these offers will work to buy the higher level $100 membership as well – after the Amex credit the cost will be $75, and you’ll get a $20 gift card as well, bringing down the effective cost to just $55
- When using the $20 coupon, there are reportedly some additional bonuses that get loaded to your membership card, such as a free pizza and a free rotisserie chicken
