[Expired] Frontier ‘Kids Fly Free’ Promotion (Must Join Discount Den For $59.99 & Other Restrictions) – Extended

Update 3/26/19: Kids Fly Free has been extended until November 13th, 2019. Hat tip to Deals We Like

Update 1/28/19: According to Pizza In Motion this will be a regular benefit and dates will be changed as they extend the schedule. Accordingly you can now book flights through February 12th.  This will also be a last seat benefit, e.g as long as a flight has two seats you’ll be able to book one adult + free kid.

Original post: Frontier has added a new ‘kids fly free‘ policy. To be eligible:

  • Kids must be under 14 years of age
  • Must accompany an adult on a Discount Den member fare. Discount den costs $59.99 annually. One free kids fare per adult fare
  • Deal only works on select domestic flights and cannot be combined with other offers or promo codes
  • Any changes you make to your flight will result in the loss of Kids Fly Free
  • Kids Fly Free is only available on the following dates:
    • February – 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
    • March – 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
    • April – 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30
    • May – 1, 4, 7, 8, 11, 14, 15, 18, 21, 22, 29
    • June – 1, 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26
    • July – 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30
    • August – 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28
    • September – 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25
    • October – 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30
    • November – 5, 6, 12, 13, 19

Originally I thought this was an ongoing promotion, but you have to book by January 28th, 2019 11:59 pm Eastern time. Personally I don’t think it will be worth paying $59.99 to get access to this deal, but others might disagree and it will likely depend on the flights you want to take.

Any word if this will work with the purchasing tickets in the airport trick to skip the CIC fees too?

Good question. I always go to the airport to buy my tickets to avoid those fees as well

The only problem with this is that the parents have to fly on Frontier Airlines to make it work 🙂

I took a quick look at some dates for RDU-LAS nonstop flights. March 12 was $64 for adults one way. So a family of 4 could fly there for $128 (plus the $60 Discount Den membership). Pretty good deal even if you have to pay LOL$$$ for checked bags and carry on bags.

FYI, they also raised the discount DEN rate $10 when they announced this.

Be wary of nickel and dime even if it was an ongoing “promotion”.
