[Expired] Get $100 Uber Credit with new Uber for Business Account and Spending $200 in 30 Days

Deal has expired, view more Uber deals by clicking here.

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Amazon Business customers can signup for a new Uber for Business account and get $100 Uber credit when they spend $200 within the first 30 days.

Signup for a free Amazon Business account here (our affiliate link). (check to see if you are targeted for a 20% off code through Bank of America as well)

The Fine Print

  • To qualify, you must be a first time administrator
  • Must open a new Uber for Business account in the US (“New Account”) between October 10, 2018 and November 9, 2018
  • Within 30 days of creating the New Account must spend at least $200 net of adjustments, refunds, or tips on the New Account.
  • Within 90 days of creating the New Account, qualifying accounts earn a $100 statement credit or refund on rides taken during the first 30 days after opening the New Account.
  • Whether it will be a credit or refund will be determined in Uber’s sole discretion.
  • This offer is not transferable, cannot be combined with any other discounts or offers, excludes UberTaxi, has no cash value, and is subject to change.

Our Verdict

I can’t quite figure out where Amazon comes into the picture since it appears anyone can signup for an Uber for Business account at the direct link above without any Amazon Business account. Can’t hurt to signup for the free Amazon Business, just in case.

Seems like a solid deal for someone with a business who uses Uber a lot anyway. A reader notes that in order to signup for an Uber for Business account you need a non-public email address – something like Gmail and Yahoo won’t work.

I couldn’t get this to work. I was able to open an Amazon Business account, but to open the Uber business account I needed a “work” email address (my Gmail wouldn’t cut it), and they wouldn’t take my actual work email because my company already has it’s own real Uber for business account.

I have a legit resale business DBA XXX with accounts in my name; a Chase biz checking and a CIP card. I was able to sign up for the Amazon business account no problem using the CIP as verification. I went to sign up for the Uber Business Account and used my business email (with a gmail.com domain) and it wouldn’t allow me to sign up. Sent an email to inquire why and got the below response.

Thank you for reaching out.

Unfortunately at this time we do not support businesses with public email domains (such as @gmail.com, @aol.com, @yahoo.com), as allowing this exposes these accounts to security risks. We understand that this prevents a number of businesses from signing up for an Uber for Business account, and are actively looking into resolving this issue moving forward.

Let me know if you have any additional questions or if I can be of any further assistance.

Best,

XXXXXXX

Do tips count towards the 200 spend requirement? I don’t fully understand what their terms and conditions are saying.

The “value to the business” by simplifying expense reporting. I’ll just do my own expense reports thanks lol.

Seems like targeted offer for Amazon Business customers.
Better to open Amazon Business account before applying for this.
