Signed up today. Used my BOA biz card that’s about a week old and my EIN – instant verification. Now I wait for the promo code. I saw this on my offers page when logged in to BOA so pretty sure I’m targeted for this.

I tried to do this before and I already have a business account so I skipped to step 2 and it’s been weeks and I don’t have a 20%. Lol

Lots of runaround with CSR through phone and chat. Followed all of the steps and was verified. Check out the last message, outrageous. Here’s the chat:

Me: I added our main business credit card. It’s not in the terms that I need to make a purchase using a BoA card first.

Tanuj: You need to add the BofA card on your account in order to get it verified and you receive the code within 5 business days as mentioned.

Me: Can you show me the terms of the offer that say that?

Tanuj: Please allow me to explain that it is not mentioned in the terms and condition however it is one of the steps required to get your account and card verified with the bank.
If you do not add the card on your account, it will not be possible to get this verified.

Update: 6 weeks later I received a message with the code from an Amazon Biz CSR I was on the phone with for 70+ minuteson 7/12, and behold the code worked. It’s applied to your account and is non-transferrable.

I don’t get it. A couple of things strange. I noticed this offer last week before even seeing it here on DOC. I went to check now and the offer is no longer on my account. I do have BOA Business Credit Card.

So I tried the Direct Link above. I set up an Amazon Business account. But where are people getting request to validate with BOA credit card etc? They didn’t ask for anything regarding validating the business.

I also selected to set up a separate Amazon account, not to change existing to business, and not to transfer payment types, order history, etc.

And yet now my personal Amazon account is gone and all I have is the business account. This thing is totally screwed up.

So the problem was, I was already signed into my personal account when signing up for the business account. Even though I selected to create a new business account, gave a new email address, selected not to transfer payment and order info, etc, it did so anyway and converted my personal to business. So I converted account back to personal again. Signed out.

Then went through the create a new business account link again, and this time it asked for credit card verification information, etc. It said on screen it could take up to 24 hours to verify information.

I can now sign into Personal and the Business account. Though the Business account looks just like another personal, perhaps it changes once verified.

Instantly verified using my Spark Cash card and EIN. No idea if the discount would shop up.

Do I have to order $500 worth of stuff in one single go? Or can I space out my purchases and I’ll still get the 20% off until I reach $100 of discount?

It says “single use promotional code” so I’m guessing one order, but it’s vague.
