Get Matched for United Mileage Plus 75,000 Offer + No Annual Fee 1st Year

There is a better offer for 75k miles + $50 statement credit, you might want to try and get matched to that instead. Let us know in the comments below.

A friend recently signed up for the United Mileage Plus 55k offer with no annual fee in the first year, and they now got targeted for the new 70,000 offer bonus + 5,000 with AU card which is showing for many. He sent Chase a Secure Message along with a screenshot of the offer and easily got the 20,000 bonus match.

What’s especially interesting here is that the 55k offer didn’t have an annual fee, and you’ll end up with 75k and no annual fee.

And a report on Reddit indicates that even if you got a statement credit with your signup offer (e.g. 55k + $50), they’ll match the 55k to 75 and let you keep the $50 and won’t charge you an annual fee either. YMMV

Chase typically matches better offers within 90-days so if you signed up recently, you should be able to message them with a screenshot and get it done. No one has luck past 90 days.

Note that you might have to spend more, e.g. if the offer you applied for needed $2k in spend, they’ll tell you that you’ll get the match after spending the $3k for this current offer.

Technically, this means that even if you ARE targeted for the 70k offer, you’d be better off going for the ordinary 35k offer with no annual fee and then getting a match. There is some risk in this approach, of course.

tried to match based on the 70kLTO link (wasn’t targeted) on 5/28. denied on 5/30 by chase stating there was no such offer was currently active or available despite the screenshot.

tried to match based on the 70k50ICLTO link (was targeted!) on 6/1. denied with the following message:

“Please be advised that the 70,000 bonus mile offer does not apply to existing accounts. We regret that we are unable to honor your request and apply the new promotional offer to your account as this is only available by applying through a United direct mail offer.

Although we appreciate your loyalty, we ask that you trust that this decision is the same for all members. We feel that adhering to the same policy for all members is the best way to remain fair and consistent.”

@Adam – same reply was given to me. I just went back with a screen shot from this post. Not sure if it will work. If it doesn’t I will probably just try again on June 1st when I expect this to go live.

I SMed yesterday asking for a match (albeit without a screenshot) and they declined it, saying there was no 70k offer. Should I try again with the screenshot from this post (sadly it doesn’t seem I’m targeted), or wait until June 1st to see if it goes public?

I’d wait till June 1st as it seems they have pulled the 70k offer for now.

Wouldn’t the spend requirement rise to $25,000 if they matched it?

I signed up for a chase united business card (50K) bonus 2 months ago, can they match biz cards too?

Biz card doesn’t have increased offer, so no.

I’d be surprised if the biz card doesn’t match the personal card offer. I’m in the same boat as Adam.

I’d be surprised if it does, give it a go and let me know.

Probably should change the title of this thread, or confirm an offer in writing.

I think someone misspoke about the “No Annual Fee”.
