Giftcard Reselling Opportunity At Raise.com ($5+ Profit Per $80 In Spend)

The Offer

macy's gift cards

The Fine Print

  • These are eGiftcards not physical cards

Analysis

Macy’s

Let’s assume you purchase $100 in gift cards, you would be paying $77 and then can stack it as follows:

  • Use a cash back credit card that earns at least 2% cash back ($1.54)
  • Purchase through Topcashback to get an additional 1% cash back (+0.77)

You can currently resell these for 79.5% of their face value to Giftcards.com so that would get you another $79.5. You get a total of $81.81 back and you would have spent $77 for a profit of $4.81 per $100.

Dunkin Donuts

Let’s assume you purchase $100 in gift cards, you would be paying $80 and can stack it as follows:

  • Use a cash back credit card that earns at least 2% cash back (+$1.54)
  • Purchase through Topcashback to get an additional 5% cash back (+$3.85)

You can currently resell these for 80.5% of their face value to Giftcards.com so that would get you another $80.5. You’d get a total of $85.89 back and you would have spent $80 for a profit of $5.89 per $100.

Final Thoughts

If you’re a new customer of Raise.com, you can also get an additional $5 off your first order. There are a couple of limits to keep in mind:

  • You can only get cash back through topcashback on $1,000 in lifetime purchases with Raise.com
  • You’re limited to selling $300 to Giftcards.com until you become a bulk seller

This is better than a similar deal that was offered earlier this week, I expect the gift cards to sell out quickly. This will probably be most useful to those trying to meet minimum spend requirements, but I think the profit margins are high enough for those just doing straight cash back.

If you’re new to gift card reselling, do yourself a favor and read Chuck’s complete guide to selling your gift cards for cash.

Not yet, I called and they had me clear my cache and cookies but that did not help. They created a ticket and said that they would have someone call me the next day to see if they could resolve it, or just take my sell order over the phone if not. I’m still waiting for the call.

I bought Macy’s cards through Raise and giftcards.com won’t take them. Keeps giving me the error “We’re sorry, but our system identified some irregularities with the information in your submitted information. For security purposes this sale transaction has been canceled.” Anyone run into this error before? I see ABC Gift cards is paying 80%. Anyone have any experience selling to them?

Does any expert know what is a bulk seller? Does it mean they send 1099 or something like that?

giftcards.com isn’t accepting online submission and only mail-in allowed therefore the Dunkin Donuts example isn’t entirely true……
