Same as above like for Lowes. You will be prompted for the last four of the card, so then the cashier may proceed to not carry out the transaction.

I don’t think Lowe’s allows purchase of Amazon gift cards at self-check out sadly.

So? Use regular check out. The cashier doesn’t look at your card.

Here they do. they check my ID and credit card for the name to mach and when it does they call over the head cashier and she checks everything again and then proceeds with the transaction.

When using the Happy Holiday cards at Lowe’s, it prompts the cashier for the last 4 of the “credit card”. It made for an awkward situation when she asked to see my credit card. I had to show her where to find it on the happy gift card and of course she didn’t want to continue the transaction because I was trying to use a “gift card” for a gift card. I eventually got her to process the transaction by showing her to run it as “credit”, but using these under the radar will definitely be a challenge. I tried at the self checkout and could not process the transaction either.

Learnt that yesterday, I was surprised the cashier/computer asked last 4#, so I scratched in front him and read him the tiny 4# and not even sure that’s what been asked for. He typed it in and it went through. I don’t know if he will cancel the transaction if he knew it’s a gift card. So I will says it’s definitely a YMMV. Now if I have a new card, I will scratch the card and wrote last 4# with a marker to be more smooth.

Not worth it to me since you can only order 3x$50 to save $15, you can get 10% discount easily on happy cards at local stores when on sale and not carrying so many small ones unless you want to give away as gift cards.

I think the $300 max is in effect because it caps me out at a $30 discount. Agreed that $50 cards are annoying but this is a decent deal for personal use.

It’s decent, but some can be obtained at a usual 20% discount (e.g. chilis is on sale at 20% often). Lowes and red lobster are also on sale often with 10%-15%
The flexibility is good, but the value is just average

$50 cards only for the Happy, from what I can see.
