Giftcards.com has been problematic as of last year tracking all rewards platforms. You need to submit tickets for each order with the affiliate. Seems sketchy as a recurring issue as if they are hoping no one notices so they don’t have to pay!

All my giftcards.com purchase suddenly started tracking on Capital One Shopping. Purchases on my phone track normally with AA, but seems like giftcards.com somehow permanently linked my computer to my Capital One Shopping account?? I deleted the Capital One Shopping browser add-on but the purchases still track there.

Saw some mentions of this happening on flyertalk as well.

I’m surprised that some folks are having tracking trouble; I was just thinking I’ve been having great luck with Cartera portals tracking recently.

I’d say be careful about coupon codes not shown on the Cartera landing page (the recent $10 off $100 VGC I don’t believe was shown on Cartera, so that would invalidate a portal tracking).

Also make sure you’re accepting all cookies because that’s what actually does the tracking (maybe use a separate browser just for portal shopping so they can’t see other activity). I think iOS devices generally block all of the portal tracking, so use a spyware-friendly Microsoft PC 🙂

The recent 10% off $100 VGC offer did track and post for me via AA Shopping (Chrome on Max)

On the other hand, I made another purchase with my iPad the other day for the 2.5X, and that hasn’t tracked. But surprising because a purchase made the same way in late April did track. Seems to be a bit of a crap shoot with iPads – the Chrome/Mac combo seems to work more reliably for me.

Damn I just bought one yesterday with Pathfinder for the statement credit. Don’t remember seeing a code.

If my parents have some miles expiring soon will this trigger kicking the expiration down the line?

Yes it would count as mileage activity.

My parents have some expiring miles, would this purchase trigger an extension of those?

aadvantageeshopping.com is an easy way to earn miles, especially with Walmart. Not all purchases are eligible so check what qualifies.

My most recent purchase didn’t track. Waiting for the 15 day mark to report it…

Last time it took almost 6 months for me to get my points.

My visa gc purchase didn’t track presumably because of the following: ” Rewards not eligible on: Purchases made with coupon or discount codes not found on this site.”

However, my $20 Home depot gc purchase using no promo codes didn’t track either. So giftcards.com appears not to be confirming any purchases… even eligible ones.

Also worth noting that their tracking is spotty. I ordered a $100 VISA GC with the click-through from AA. Didn’t track (at 1mi/$).

perhaps worth noting these also count as LPs for earning AA status
