[Expired] Google Pay: $30 Back on New Costco $120 Executive Membership (Stack with Dosh, Rakuten, Chase Pay)

Deal has ended, view more Costco deals by clicking here.

The Offer

Check your Google Pay app for the following offer:

  • Get $30 back when you buy a new Costco Executive Membership ($120 cost) with a linked card.

The Fine Print

  • States listed below are excluded from this deal
  • Expires Sept 30

Our Verdict

The prior $40 gift card offer appears to have been pulled, but there are still a number of stacks possible here:

  • Dosh is offering $20 back for online Costco membership purchases – you can click through from Dosh, then navigate to the promo page, pay with a Dosh-connected card. (Anecdotally, this might work even without clicking through Dosh.)
  • Go through Rakuten for an extra $10 back.
  • There’s a Chase Offer for $10 back on $60 membership purchase.
  • Stack with the Wyndham promotion for $60 back on Costco membership, if you were targeted for that.
  • There’s a rumor that the $40 gift card deal will be coming back at an undisclosed date, if you want to wait for that.

Could be a nice deal overall, especially if you are interested in the Executive membership.

The $40 gift card + $40 coupon deal seems to be back: https://www.costco.com/online-membership-promotion.html
I am just wondering if it will stack with the Google Pay $30 offer since using the promo code brings the cost of membership down to $119.99 (not $120). Any thoughts?

I tried 12 hours ago. Nothing on Google Pay. They say the reward should show up after a few minutes. It seems it didn’t stack.

For anyone who opened the Betterment Checking account with the Rakuten Deal or just has the Betterment Checking, the account comes with a debit card which has a rewards program via Dosh. Card is a Visa Debit Card. This card has the standard Dosh Costco sign up offer $10 for Goldstar $20 for Goldstar Executive. Card can also be used for renewal of Costco memberships. and can probably be stacked with the Google Pay offer/Dosh itself offer/Rakuten offer.

Setup the CC on GooglePay first then make sure to activate it.
Then setup the CC on Dosh side and click the link to enroll the Costco membership.
Got both $30 and $20 pending in GooglePay and Dosh.

I have individual gold membership, do you think costco will allow me me to enroll the Business version Gold Plus Executive ? If so, planning to get business then cancel the individual version . Anyone has this sort of experience?

New account period or new executive account? I already have the $60 membership so I’m wondering if it counts as a “new executive membership” if I upgrade to the executive membership for the first time.

Did you read the terms?

It clearly answers your question.

Since you are lazy, the answers is no. Terms say you can’t upgrade existing membership.

it says 1+ transaction. I am wondering if buying something will code the same and trigger the bonus….

I don’t think so. Don’t memberships codes different from regular Costco purchases?

I tried, but they detected the OTHER account when I went in to take my pictures and get the second card for P2. I feel like its once in a lifetime thing. I think there system detect any prior accounts based on address and the emp is told to reactivate vs using a new one at the store. Basically i feel its YMMV.

Looks like you have to wait 2 years for the account limit to reset.

“To qualify as a new member, an existing Costco membership must be expired for 18 months or more.”

I’ve been doing it in 2 player mode for years. No issues. Getting new membership deal every time. Getting 13 months worth of membership every time. Open on 1st date of the month. Getting full Executive rewards too. They send 2nd check later when you don’t renew membership.

Skip the junk Citi card though. Get BoA 1-2-3 and buy Costco cash cards online. 3% or 5% cash back with Online category depending on your rewards tier. Stack with 2% executive rewards.

Definitely not once in a lifetime. Yes, they do detect that you had previous membership. No issues with that. Just say that you are not renewing, although it doesn’t really matter after 13+ months membership gap. Add P2 card later, not when you open membership.

Boo, I just signed up for executive membership 6 days ago…

Remember with Google Pay to always screenshot the offer, so you can use it as evidence when they try to screw you out of your $30 later.
