Our Verdict
The Vanilla Visa deal is quite good for HEB shoppers. It might only work on a fixed-value $100 card, but you can try your luck at a $500 card and see what happens (Update: it works). Not sure if these earn fuel points.
Hat tip to GC Galore
How’s this actually work in store? No one knew what I was talking about when I went.
Normally there’s a physical coupon with the item in-store; is that the case here?
Will it work if buy 500 vanilla GC?
$15 offer Worked for me on a loadable vanilla gift card. Note that the GC had a $5.95 fee so it came out to net ~$9 at HEB
Vanilla coupon works on variable-load cards
I tried with OneVanilla $500 load & $100 load…both of them didn’t work…you mind sharing which one worked for you? Thanks!
Unfortunately we do not earn fuel points at HEB.
Thanks DoC, did the $100 VGC and used Citi Dividend to stack, I apparently also had a $3 off $30 coupon that applied to the gift card purchase so for 102.95 I was able to get $100 VCG and $15 HEB gift card as well as 5% cash back.
What is the best credit card to pay for Assisted Living Rent? Thanks, Dave
You can stack this with the Discover It 5% this quarter on groceries or any other CC with grocery category.
