The Offer
- Headspace is offering headspace plus for free to the unemployed, healthcare providers and educators
Our Verdict
Headspace provides likes thing guided meditation and mindfulness exercises. I’ve actually found it to be really useful to help manage my anxiety and stress levels. Might not be for everybody (and this particular offer isn’t in any case) but something that might be worth trying if you haven’t before. You can find more freebies for healthcare workers by clicking here.
I found this on AMEX:
Card Members can receive a complimentary year of Calm Premium, plus half off the following year upon automatic renewal.
Thank you DOC!
I am unemployed during the weekend, though not M-F.
how are they verifying your “unemployed” status?
I was looking into meditation apps just two days ago and have 5 that I’m going to try and compare. I appreciate this as I got the free year and it is one of the apps I was going to check out. Thanks to DOC for the info and Headspace for this oppurtunity.
Let me know if you have any questions.
I recommend Headspace if you’re just starting and want to understand what it’s all about. However, I like Calm for an ongoing practice. This link still works for 60% off the life time subscription – https://www.calm.com/lifetime-offer?plan=lifetime&coupon=60_percent_lifetime_fbig&lifetime_coupon=60_percent_lifetime_fbig&vanity_url=blackfridaysocial . I believe the subscription to calm is worth it because there is a new meditation every day (so does Headspace but I like Calm’s better and they have a lifetime subscription).
