The Offer
- Hilton Grand Vacations (Hilton’s timeshare brand) is offering discount rates and points. As part of this deal you need to complete a two hour timeshare presentation and pitch. Deals are as follows (all included 75,000 Hilton points):
- Honolulu: 5 nights for $799
- Waikoloa: 5 nights for $799
Our Verdict
Previous offer was 25k points/5 nights for $699. Normally you can get a better than public timeshare offer by calling in. You can read more about that here. Not worth doing these presentations unless you’re sure you’ll be able to say no to actually buying a timeshare.
Honolulu was Meh. Timeshare tour was painful and price was absurd.
How was it painful? Do explain for those going in the future and any tips to get off early or not be completely frustrated.
Offer is showing now.
Try to get a maui offer, others are just not worth the headache.
I used a similar offer to stay at Waikoloa 2 years ago. The hotel room wasn’t exceptional, but it was a great value. It was easy to say no, we had a wonderful vacation overall
The “Purchase Now” buttons for each vacay package in the link in the article are broken.
I called the number listed below the “Purchase Now” button on the page and they said they need the offer Id in the email and the original email forwarded to them to be able to honor the deal.
So, seems targeted to existing Hilton Grand Vacations members, possibly some Hilton Honors members as well.
YMMV
For me, purchase now button did not work either. Called the number and rep wanted the offer #. Explained it was a public offer not on an email. Rep tried to disregard this and insisted an offer # is required. I explained I was on their website and started reading the url and deal info and Rep caved and asked me to email the info. After receiving it Rep had to speak w/ the supervisor and came back and said they would make an exception and do the deal on the phone right now only. However, I had originally called to ask a few questions and clarifications since the online button wasn’t working. I was not prepared to complete the deal on the phone so I figured they were just pressuring to get the sale and hung up to further research. Called next day and was unable to get the Rep to acknowledge the deal. Seemed like a different call center this time (loud and off-shored). Disappointing but figured I’d call back and try for another rep. Luckily this rep was able to acknowledge the deal after going trough same original process as yesterdays rep w/ educating them it’s a public link and then emailing link and researching w/ their supervisor. Excited for the trip!
Thanks JimmyDeals. That is great info.
Appreciate you.
If 2 people from the same family (but different Hilton Honors numbers) buy different timeshares from HGV, will they get both the bonus points?
whoa whoa whoa there who said anything about buying
Please do not attempt, you are too naïve to swim in these waters.
Any way you reserve dates before you pay? I tried to change one of their offers in the past to Hawaii and there was no way to check inventory myself and calling in to manually check dates was a huge PITA. Ended up burning the $100.
Was a hard no when I asked multiple reps to reserve dates at time of purchase for me. Seems to be a different Division for reservations. The number you call to purchase the package didn’t seem very educated on the deals and seems to be mainly servicing existing owners booking their annual week. Dates can be booked when you get the confirmation email the next day and you call the Reservation group.
Hawaii has expired.
Doc how about removing or updating this post.
offer has expired
Does this include Resort fees?
Last one I did included them and my Diamond benefits.
“Upgrades may be available at an additional cost. Vacation Package includes accommodations only. All other charges, taxes, parking, expenses, and the cost of travel are your sole responsibility and not included in this special rate. Holiday, high season or weekend rates apply. Savings and available accommodations may vary.”
No idea if it’s actually enforced.
Purchased the deal via phone w/o resort fees and they tell me no resort fees will be charged upon arrival. They do charge sales/occupancy tax on top of the listed deal price though and you will need to pay for parking when you check out.
